he goal of the Norton Center For The Arts Student Matinee Series is to provide teachers and students with a performing arts journey into global cultures and history, while supplying educators with curriculum guides specifically created for the performance or program that meet national and state standards for lessons in Music, Arts-Humanities, History and/or Social Studies – responding to the decrease in classroom focus on these subject areas. Because we know and appreciate how important it is to plan and identify field trips as educational experiences, we provide curriculum connections and activities related to these shows.
