Brick City is an exhibition of the LEGO® models shown in Warren Elsmore’s internationally acclaimed book of the same name. Marvel at the Arc de Triomphe, Buckingham Palace, the Trevi Fountain and famous events such as Macy's Day Parade, Rio Carnival and the London Olympics - all recreated in LEGO® (8 March - 21 April).

New from 15 February Inside DNA - a fascinating exhibition all about you…your health, your identity and your ancestry.

The region’s only 4D Motion Ride with moving seats, 3D action on screen and some extra surprises (be warned - you may get wet). For safety reasons you have to be at least 1.2 metres (4 feet) in height to use the Motion Ride.

Hands - on Curiosity Zone, where you can sculpt magnetic art, make music that lights up and create your own big machine with gears, cogs and pulleys.

Easter 5 - 21 April Enjoy our fantastic Brick City exhibition a must for LEGO® fans of all ages. Everything else is included in your Science Centre ticket too including the 4D Motion Ride, planetarium, live theatre shows and daily workshops. Chocolate Heaven workshops and a special choc trail for little ones will be running from Good Friday to Easter Monday only.


26 - 27 April For one weekend only! Maker Faire UK is the greatest show (and tell) on Earth! It’s a two day family-friendly festival of hackers, crafters, coders, DIYers and garden shed inventors. Coming soon! Opens Saturday 17 May 2014 BODY WORLDS Vital, an awe-inspiring journey through the human body, celebrating its complexity, beauty and potential, makes its UK debut at Life in May 2014. BODY WORLDS Vital brings together a collection of real human bodies, specimens, organs and body slices which have been willed by donors and preserved through plastination, a ground-breaking method for specimen preservation invented by Dr. Gunther von Hagens.

As we’re a charity, Science Centre tickets include a voluntary 10% donation which allows us to claim an extra 25p in every pound from the Government, providing the donor is a UK tax payer. It’s called a Gift Aid visit and it makes a huge difference to charities like us. To enable us to reclaim your Gift Aid, you must be paying an amount of income or capital gains tax at least equal to or greater than the amount of this donation. If you want to opt out of the donation, admission charges to the Science Centre are: family £22.90, adult £7.40, child £5.40, concession £6.75.
