Step By Step: Buying A Home

Buying A Home

What's involved in the home buying process? How does it all work?

Here's a step by step guide that outlines the basics!

1. Meeting Up

We can't begin the home buying process without knowing a bit about you and what you're looking for! Once we meet, we perform a detailed needs assessment to get on the same page. Then we go over representation agreements available to you as a buyer, and the special benfits each one offers.

2. Pre-Approval

You don't need to be financially pre-approved before looking at houses, but knowing how much you can afford before viewing homes will save you time and a potential heartache. We can arrange a pre-qualification or pre-approval appointment with a reputable lender or broker for you!

3. House Hunting

We show you homes that meet your search criteria and budget, offering an unbiased view of each property. We’ll discuss the features of each property that may affect its value and future resale. Then, you choose which home to go forward with!

4. Down To Business

We go over your choice with the proverbial fine-toothed comb. If things still look good after a house inspection and we've gone through all the property disclosure documents, we'll help prepare your offer to purchase, going over appraisal contingency options and home warranty options. Once presented to the seller, negotiations begin!

5. Closing

A final walk-through through of the home gives us the chance to go over any issues (if any) before the sale goes forward. Then, we'll monitor and inform you of the progress of the purchase agreement, including the satisfaction of all contingencies and conditions during the entire transaction.

6. Moving In

The best part of the process; we present the keys to your beautiful new home, and you are free to move in!

7. After Care

We make sure to follow up on remaining details or service needs, and provide you with a confidential opportunity to evaulate our services. Should you have any questions down the road about your property, or want to stay in the real estate loop, we'll answer you. Always happy to stay in touch!
