Way to go, CEO! Northern Kentucky gets creative! Northern Kentucky University’s CEO Chapter recently hosted a T-shirt design contest that catered towards the goal of cohesion among students and student organizations. Not only did they encourage collaboration among participants, but NKU’s CEO Chapter co-hosted the event with MINjas, a media informatics group on campus to collect votes and manage submissions. Out of 27 original entries, over 1,300 votes were cast! Ten final designs were pitched by thee student creators to a panel of judges, and the student winner was even inspired to pursue starting a T-shirt company! Now with the winning design set, T-shirts are available for sale, with a portion going to support the winning artist and a portion to support the CEO Chapter. Being the first of its kind on campus, this event shows great entrepreneurial initiative by the NKU CEO members, and it demonstrates the power of campus collaboration!

Chapter Support

CEO is proud to recognize some outstanding member entrepreneurs.

CEO is here to help your school!

CEO is extremely excited to congratulate Josh Weingart, a CEO member whose work as a social entrepreneur recently got him listed to the 2013 Inc. Coolest College Startup List! Not only is Josh creating clean water by turning used tires into shoes, but he's changing lives along the way! Josh started WaterDrop Shop after a mission trip to Northern Kenya during which he had worked on a clean well digging crew. He was inspired to help and do more. After remembering that Kenyan’s shoes were made from used tires, he developed the WaterDrop Shop to help in more ways than one. You can purchase WaterDrop Shop Tire Sandals, which are made using fair trade labor from recycled tires and other sustainable products. From all proceeds, 10% is given back to support clean water efforts. You can look fashionable and support sustainability all at the same time!
