2018 SEQ SHOOTOUT SERIRES The Southen Zone Shootout is always a great early season tour of south Queensland and a event I had heaps of fun doing last year and so far this year is proving to be just as good. With 4 out of the 6 rounds now past Im sitting in second overall Olly the current Series Leader has a bit of gap on me but Ill be doing my best to hunt him down over the final rounds at Ipswich and Beenligh which is a bit of bitter sweet ending for me as last year Ipswich was a real strong point for me while i always find Beenleigh a struggle. ROUND 1 Redlands a great track I don’t get to come here often so its always good to vist twice a year, Rd1 of the 6 round series in the 8 boys Expert class was a scorcher of a day sitting at 38’c was drinking water like it was going out of fashion, a up and down day for me started off with a second and finished off with a 3rd overall i finished 8th and to be in the top 8 going in to one of my closer to home tracks for rd 2 I’m feeling pretty good about a top finish at the end of rd 6, 2nd,5th,4th,3rd
ROUND 2 A good day at the office with the Shootout Series coming a little closer to home and a track I always enjoy racing at i struggled out of the gate every race but made my way through the field to finish 2nd,2nd,2nd,4th, a big boost on points towards the overall ROUND 3 Nerang its round 3 of the shootout Series and time to get my head down and race at the same time every time we go to nerang this year is testing and training read for rd4 of the Australian National series been held here latter in the year, and today we made big improvements after a bike setup change from when we were here back in January. 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd ROUND 4 Its the closest to home that the series will get so defently needed to make it count and I had my best round so far with 2 very close races getting knocked back to second by 0.2 of a second and a lot of passing the track was pretty wet and nearly dropped the bike at the start but recovered and came back from last to 2nd 2nd 1st 2nd 2nd
ITS PRETTY SIMPLE IF YOU RIDE CRUZE OR RACE NORTHWAVE MAKE THE WORLDS BEST CYCLING SHOES AND I WOULDNT TRUST ANY BODY ELSE TO KEEP ME SPRINTING TO THE FINISH LINE.

2018 National Series Rd1 of my first National series done Road tripping down the 1100km high way to wake up in Sydney is always going to result in a fun weekend away with the bikes, Penrith was a new track to me and the first chance to see how I fair up against Australia's best riders in 2018 Missed out on the Semi finals by 1 point lot of positives from the weekend my times got faster every single lap I did and got to catch up with friends from around the country, Look forward and and start preparing for the Australian Championships in Perth in a few weeks time. Big thank you to my Team with out there support none of this would be possible 6th 4th 4th
The 2018 National series will take part over 7 rounds one per state (apart from Western Australia who will be holding the Australian championships) each riders top 3 rounds will be counted to there overall we plan on doing round 1 Sydney round 4 Gold Coast and round 5 Canberra
2018 Australian Championships The big one came with ups and downs highs and lows with the 7332km round trip from Queensland to Western Australia we got there in time to race in the Oceana Championships which we used to set the bikes up and learn the track which went well and gave us some down time to explore WA and check out its beaches and Dolphins. For me the main event on Friday was a little short lived I smashed my opening race taking a win and could not have been happier with a time of 46seconds a time that could have put me in 5th in the finals later in the moto's i came a way with a 4th and 3rd which was plenty to secure my place to Advance on to the 1/4 finals
1st,4th,3rd, 5th
Right there at the 1/4 final stage my championship campain ended a bit to nervous and eager to do well I hit the gate and came away dead last out of the start I fought hard and made my way past a few to get back to 5th but unfortunately the all important top 4 was out of reach. I was devastated and gutted about not getting to the finals but will use this to train harder and start preparing now for the 2019 Championships and get my bike back to the world championships for 2019 Best of luck to my rivals at Bunbury that have been selected to represent Australia at Baku this year Ill be
