In any urban development, the functions, public or not, need to be accesible for anyone in as little time as possible, in order for it to be successful. Starting with basic agenda of a person's everyday life, the focus is on activities like living, working and relaxing, i.e residential areas, working units and public functions which include leisure and sports, entertainment, culture and retail. Setting up a computational tool that mixes all these programs together according to different logics, the aim is to come up with new computer generated formations that have the ability to react to eachother within the systems and subsystems they create, as well as to the surroundings outside the site boundary. Conditions like scale shifting, density variation, directionality, minimum and maximum distance play a major role in the development of the project.

Generated Landscape

The brief requests to design a pavilion that is situated in Vienna city’s center. Becouse of the big difference between the architectural element that is to be designed and the actual dimension of the site, i decided to integrate the pavilion into a global landscape.

By using a generated surface based system, by controlling and changing the tensions in X, Y and Z directions and by offseting a second surface that has the values slightly differentiated to the first one, a “landscape“ is taking shape that will Basic serve as the pavillion it-plied self and parc arround it.
