QUALITY STANDARDS IN ISO CERTIFICATION The ISO 9001:2015 is the most common quality certification for any organisation. It is based on the document of the same title that details the requirements that an organisation must maintain in their quality system. Commonly referred to as the ISO 9000, the standard type defines the year in which the current set of requirements were set down. The current requirement set was finalised in the year 2015. The previous version of ISO 9001:2008 was replaced by the ISO 9001:2015 as the only standard that requires a certification. The other ISO certifications The most famous ISO certifications are ISO / IEC 20000, that is the first international standard for IT service management, developed in 2005. The ISO 22000 concerns food safety management that sets out the requirements of the food industry. This standardisation is set for food industry from the farm level (growing of food) to the fork level (restaurants, eateries). The ISO 140001 standard ISO 14001 standard is for environment safety, and this certification defined in 2015 details the set of requirements that a company needs to meet to ensure that its standards are that of international level. Obtaining this certification means that the company’s standards for environment and space are up to the levels set internationally. All these certifications need to be obtained properly, and this requires special training in that department. Many countries have individual accreditation bodies that perform the authorisation or accredit that a company has met the particular standards as required. There are specific consultancies that offer documentation and training solutions for ISO and other certifications.
