A Driver's Dream
The new NSX is the latest feature in the Acura luxury model lineup. The premium automaker prides itself in precision-crafted performance and the NSX is a pure expression of that motto.
The NSX is not just a supercar. Built of racing DNA, the vehicle combines an ultra-rigid space frame and an agile Sports Hybrid Super Handling All- Wheel Drive to support all of its driving modes. It’s engineered to produce 573hp, 476 lb-ft of torque, and a top speed of 307 km/h. Whether cruising on the weekends, ripping it on the track, or adding some motivation to your daily commute, the vehicle is a reflection of the driver and the emotions behind the wheel.
The lightweight suspension and steering system delivers a refreshing balance of adrenaline and composure. And although the interior provides a quiet space from the road, the sound of the engine tunes in with the driving mode. Depending on how the driver may be feeling, there are four mode settings to choose from. From the nearly silent Quiet mode to Sport, Sport Plus, and the aggressive roar of the Track Mode, there’s something for every situation. Across all driving spectrums, the highperformance system delivers precise traction control and poise no matter the speed.
The NSX is a visual expression of beautiful design and performance working together.
The NSX brakes and hybrid regenerative brakes are powerful and predictable, allowing the driver to be confident and firm on the road.
The exterior is designed with similar nuances as the first generation NSX. While every shape and curve is incredibly pleasing and sexy, every line and crease on the body holds a purpose to its dynamic performance and efficiency.
The interior offers a minimalistic and spacious cabin with a uniquely-shaped steering wheel. The multi-function display brings it all together for the driver with the vehicle data and performance keys. It's mounted high on the dash where it's easy to see and manage.
Airflow plays a crucial role in design and performance of the vehicle. Starting with the front airflow intake and through the side, all the way to the rear brakes, the intention is to provide airflow and maximize cooling to the engine, transition, and brakes at all times.
"The NSX is a visual expression of beautiful design and performance working together," said Michelle Christensen, Acura NSX large project leader designer.
