CHAUMONT SUR LOIRE COMPETITION
For my first project in school, our task was to design a project for a competition in France. The topic was to design a garden for the future and how we imagined a the future of nature would look like. My gardens concept was that without water, we would not have any life in our gardens or in our planet. By doing so, I came up with a design that where ever water existed, so did life. Everything around this landscape is barron and dead.
REIMAGINING OF THE KRANNERT ART MUSEUM URBANA IL
Our task for this project was to redesign an unused existing parking lot and make it into a an area that can bring students that use the Krannert Art museum. By coming up with a design, I had to consider the cost that it would go into this design. Keeping it low budget, I came up with a courtyard that can be used by students for outside events, eating or simply studying. I took in consideration the surrounding environment and by doing so, it lead to this design.

THE REVITALIZING OF WRIGHT STREET
6
CHAMPAIGN IL
With completly redesigning Wright Street, our task was also to come up with a design for one of the corriders within each building of the university. I proposed a design that would break the barrier between historic architecture and modern landscape. By combining both together in one, it can serve to be a possible outcome for more landscapes like these in the future.
Currently at the University of Illinois, Wright Street, which is one of the most heavily used street on campus, has been operating for years now. Although being used, it lacks both safety and comfort for those whom use it everyday to get to class. Unfinished sidewalks, bike lanes and roads are all red flags on Wright Street. The design being proposed assures the safety yet an appealing environment that hasnt yet been introduced to the school. By re-designing the bike lane, extended sidewalks, and allowing only for a bus lane only traffic, it assures the safety for all whom use Wright street.

INNER CITY WAYSTATION CHICAGO IL
This site is located on the Northside of Chicago in the neighborhood of Lincoln Park and runs along the Chicago River. Currently is a vacant lot that was once a steel mill. Our job was to remediate the site by reusing it rather than it being vacant. Working along with Jason Vevang and Layne Knoche, we designed a site that would focus on flora and fauna lens. We carefully chose the right plants to remediate the site as well as making it a safe haven for The Monarch Butterfly and the Honey Bee. We also wanted this to be a possible extention for The 606 that already exist along the Bloomingdale trail. Our goal is to make this a educational site as well as a place of gathering for the community.

The following is also work that I have helped build and design with Martin Rojas Landscapes.
Backyard Patio - Wilmette IL
Front Yard retaining wall w/ planting - Glenview IL
Still at work: Front stairs, and Planting - Evanston IL Currently, I am working with M. Rojas Landscapes Inc. based in Evanston IL to design one of our clints front and backyard. The property had very minimal species of plants and hardscapes. On the right is a quick plan/sketch with possible ideas for the backyard. Our client’s want a backyard where they can go outside and feel enclosed and have privacy. Picture above shows custom finished steps that lead into the front door of the house. This too is still in the process; plants and shrubs will be planted.
