DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO

AN EXPLOSION OF MIRACLES

In just three weeks in August, CfaN conducted six mass Gospel Campaigns in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Just getting our teams and equipment where they were needed was a tremendous challenge, one of the greatest we’ve ever faced. But despite the harsh conditions and lack of infrastructure in this deeply rural region, our dedicated team did not give up.

Pushing through against all odds, they let nothing stop them – and the result was a cascade of salvations and an explosion of miracles.

SPIRITUAL HUNGER

In Mbuji-Mayi, the campaign was on the exact same field where Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke preached in 1991.

Evangelist Daniel Kolenda shared, “The atmosphere reminds me of the campaigns from twenty years ago, filled with vibrant energy from people experiencing a Gospel Campaign for the first time. In Mbuji-Mayi, we have not held a campaign in over 30 years, and with an average age of 15, an entire generation has passed.”

Evangelist Joe Turnbull shared his testimony, and thousands raised their hands, surrendering their lives to Christ. The testimonies of healing were extraordinary.

MBUJI-MAYI

July 31 – August 4

Grace, who had been suffering from a painful mass on his left side for two years, felt the mass disappear completely.

After preaching, Evangelist Kolenda prayed for the sick and many miracles followed. A remarkable number of people said they felt tumors, fibroids and lumps vanish. For example,

Maluka, whose vision was impaired after an accident two years ago, saw his sight restored instantly as witchcraft items were burned on the field.

KABINDA

July 30 – August 4

A BATTLE WON

While Daniel was preaching in Mbuji-Mayi, Evangelists Manuel Reichor, Moses Ajibade, Jim Leamon, and Deepak Holkar (CfaN Bootcamp graduates) were preaching in Kabinda, over 170km away.

The situation became particularly challenging as our trucks struggled to reach their destinations. Ultimately, we had to hire local military-style transport vehicles, transferring our equipment from the damaged trucks to these vehicles, which arrived just in time for the campaign to begin.

This campaign was six nights long, with the crowd building in size every night as word spread that God was moving in Kabinda. We even heard of people who had walked for days and then camped on the field, so great was their hunger for the Gospel.

This 10-year-old boy had never walked before and took his first steps after the healing prayer.

WOMEN’S CAMPAIGN

The second week in the Congo was truly ground-breaking. History was made as Evangelist Jana Bielava became the first woman to preach the Gospel in public in Congo. God had placed it on her heart to conduct a campaign in Central Congo, and despite initial resistance due to cultural norms against women preachers, she persisted. With the support of the local bishops and her husband, David, Jana and Evangelist Kathy Leamon entered the field with faith and determination.

MBUJI-MAYI

August 7 – 11

As they arrived, technical difficulties struck, causing the sound to go out. Undeterred, Jana and Kathy began to sing, dance, and rejoice with the crowd. David played a drum, and the crowd’s energy soared. They managed to pull in a Gospel truck with basic sound equipment, and the campaign began.

We faced yet more difficulties when sudden sandstorms shut down domestic flights nationally, stranding Evangelist Kolenda in Kinshasa. But that didn’t stop the campaign at all. Evangelist Jim Leamon stepped in to preach in Daniel’s place, and thousands gave their lives to Jesus. worth it all

After three years of debilitating back pain, Bukasa received complete healing and joyfully demonstrated his newfound freedom.

The original generator –stuck an hour away from the field – and its replacement, ready just in time for the campaign.

Heritier (18) had been suffering from leg pain for nine months, requiring his father to carry him on a bicycle to the campaign. After the prayer, he was completely healed and demonstrated his newfound freedom by running and jumping on stage.

GOD‘S PROVISION

The Gospel Campaign in Ngandajika began with significant logistical challenges as well. Evangelist Daniel King was delayed when his flight was canceled, and the truck carrying the generator was stuck in the mud an hour away from the campaign field.

With no evangelist or interpreter in the city, it seemed the campaign might be postponed. However, God’s provision and the team’s determination prevailed.

Bootcamp graduate Evangelist Jim Leamon agreed to travel to Ngadanjika, picking up the interpreter along the way. The technical team found a local company willing to lend a generator, and after using a backhoe to lift it out of a building, they had power for the lights and sound just in time.

Berth (25) had a large mass in her stomach since she was ten years old and had not been able to sleep well for years. After prayer, she received her healing and slept peacefully for the first time in 15 years.

From Night Two, Evangelist Daniel King preached the Word with power, seeing thousands come to Jesus, and every night, the Lord confirmed His word with miracle after miracle.

OASIS OF PEACE

In Kananga, where Evangelist Nathan Morris was the lead evangelist, the first night was a sign of things to come, with the crowd already over 85,000 strong!

Each night, the crowd grew and grew. Kananga is a place that has seen much war and violence, but the name actually means “Oasis of Peace”. During the Gospel Campaign, the Prince of Peace brought salvation, deliverance and healing to these people. On Night Three, Evangelist Nathan Morris shared, “My heart was full as what seemed like an ocean of people raised their hands to give their lives to Jesus Christ!”

Jeannette (2) fell into a ditch a year ago and had been paralyzed ever since. During the campaign, her mother placed her on the ground in faith - and she started walking!

August 14 - 18

“MY HEART WAS FULL AS WHAT SEEMED LIKE AN OCEAN OF PEOPLE RAISED THEIR HANDS TO GIVE THEIR LIVES TO JESUS CHRIST!”
When Nseya (60) got up on stage, the crowd went wild, because she is well known to many and had been blind in both eyes for 20 years! Tonight, God opened her eyes. The evangelist tested her sight on stage as the crowd roared with joy.

Penyela had tumors in both arms for 8 years. The tumors caused swelling and intense pain which prevented her from doing household tasks like cooking or cleaning. After prayer, the tumors disappeared, a fact confirmed by a childhood friend who testified to her healing.

August 14 - 18

A striking testimony came from Yerro, deaf and mute since birth, who received her hearing and began learning to speak. She repeated words on stage, leaving the crowd in awe of God’s power.

JOYFUL WELCOME

The town of MweneDitu had never had an international Gospel Campaign there before. Our team was welcomed with huge joy and thanksgiving by the local churches. The crowd grew daily, with over 50,000 people attending a single meeting. On Night Four – Holy Spirit Night – Evangelist Rubens Cunha shared:

“FOLLOWING

THE HEALING PRAYERS, I INVITED THE HOLY SPIRIT TO FILL EVERYONE PRESENT. THE RESPONSE WAS ELECTRIC – DEMONS MANIFESTED AND WERE CAST OUT, NUMEROUS PEOPLE RECEIVED THEIR HEALING, AND MANY SPOKE IN NEW TONGUES FOR THE FIRST TIME. IT WAS A POWERFUL SIGHT TO BEHOLD!”
