With the One Louisville funds, the Coalition obtained supplies and equipment to support online communications and pay for safe, temporary shelter for families with children so they did not need to enter crowded shelters. Emergency assistance from the One Louisville Fund allowed Family Scholar House to maintain staffing and resources and increase their reach among Louisville’s most vulnerable populations. FSH provided food, diapers and supplies, as well as coaching, advocacy, connection to resources, and long-term solutions to poverty and economic vulnerability. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow, so do the levels of anxiety, depression, fear, and substance abuse. These funds helped Seven Counties Services cover the costs of technology and upgrades necessary to continue to provide crucial mental and behavioral health services to clients via telehealth. The One Louisville Fund enabled DECODE to transition programs to provide online learning for students reading below grade-level, caregiver literacy support, and to prevent summer learning loss; supporting parents and children who are working tirelessly to maintain and build successful readers despite the absence of in-person instruction. Americana Community Center used funds to support vulnerable individuals with computers and connections for remote learning, take-away meals, and assistance with unemployment and rental assistance forms.

SeniorCare Experts used funds to respond to high demand for home-delivered meals and medication support for medically-fragile and isolated senior citizens. All numbers reported are as of August 31, 2020.
