After 184 years, C. F. Martin is proud to introduce the D-200 Deluxe in collaboration with renowned watchmakers, RGM (Roland G. Murphy/rgmwatches.com). Symbolic of the passage of time, a unique watch theme is displayed throughout this model. A classic 14-fret Dreadnought is the base for this work of art. Crafted from a highly-figured, bearclaw Engelmann spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides that feature guillochĂŠ, a process of cutting geometric patterns into metal. The engraved stainless steel tuner buttons and aluminum rosette are gorgeous examples of guillochĂŠ. The guitar back is inlaid with recon stone, pearl, bloodwood, koa and ebony gears in a spectacular watch theme. The top inlay features a minute track of pearl, birdseye maple, flamed koa and ebony. The pickguard also has pearl inlays depicting watch gears. Another very unique detail of this model is the side rim pearl inlay. A maple bound ebony fingerboard also showcases the pearl watch gears. The guitar also comes with a wearable watch from RGM. Lastly, this guitar comes in an aluminum case with a built-in hygrometer that lets you see the interior environment of the case without even opening it.
