Let's Talk

Over the last year, The Community Foundation announced many exciting changes: a change in leadership, a new home, new funds, and new partners. The need for these changes stems from natural growth, as the organization has worked to build and maintain the community’s trust as a resource for community philanthropic dollars.

At the heart of our mission – to encourage philanthropy, assist donors in building an enduring source of charitable assets, and exercise leadership in directing resources to enhance the quality of life for residents of Muncie and Delaware County – is the need for strong relationships. Those relationships require staff to listen, learn, and share with donors, nonprofits, and fellow community leaders.

To support that focus on relationships, Foundation staff received new titles. An updated organizational structure creates teams focused on operations, donor relations, and nonprofit relations.

Marcy Minton, President & CEO, oversees the teams, assuring the Foundation’s work is representative, responsive, and relevant to the community’s priorities. She welcomes conversations with donors, nonprofits, and other stakeholders of the Foundation, serves in community leadership roles, and works closely with the Board of Directors.
