•• QLD, NSW and VIC make up around 80% of Australia’s population and contribute a similar amount to Australia’s national GDP. Accordingly, annual growth in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne has generally outperformed the rest of the Australia over the past 10 years as well as the past 12 months; •• Victoria is currently leading the annual population growth at 2.1%, with Queensland and New South Wales coming in second with a growth rate of 1.4%.
