.5 points are added each semester for each honors class and point value is factored into the GPA | 1.0 point is added each semester for each AP Class and that point value is factored in the GPA
Class Rank
Cardinal Gibbons does not rank its students. Therefore, only classes taken at Cardinal Gibbons appear on our transcripts, and both our weighted and unweighted GPA is calculated using only grades earned at Cardinal Gibbons.

Students must meet prerequisite requirements to be placed into an Honors or AP course. The prerequisites include grades in their current class and, for some, a PSAT score, or score on a placement test.
