Apply to one of the approved CGU programs by the indicated timeline. Upon admittance, begin taking CGU courses as early as your senior year at Soka University. Begin full-time graduate study at CGU following graduation. Earn a master’s degree in as little as one year of full-time study.
How Long Does It Take? Most students can complete the CGU portion of the program within one year of full-time study. It may take longer than one year, however, depending on the number of units in which you enroll per semester. Scholarships Receive guaranteed fellowship funds of at least $10,000 from CGU for graduate study and be considered for graduate scholarship support from Soka University.

We offer a Preliminary Credential program and an Induction/Clear Credential program—both necessary steps to becoming a teacher in California. Our Teacher Education program enables you to work toward a preliminary credential while simultaneously earning a master’s degree. Available degree + credential programs include: ■ Preliminary General Education Credential + MA in Education ■ Preliminary Special Education Credential + MA in Education ■ Preliminary Math Credential + MA in Math Most students complete their program in four terms.

December Register to enroll in Teaching and Learning Process 1 at CGU. One approved Soka course can also be considered as transferable for all programs except for Special Education. Spring Semester Complete your approved transferable courses. Summer Semester Attend the teacher education orientation at CGU and begin full-time enrollment as a teacher education student.
Master of Arts in Education Apply theory and research to important challenges in the field of education. Choose from three concentrations as you design an individualized course of study that reflects your passions and pursue academic interests across disciplines within a diverse, close-knit environment ideal for exchanging ideas and cultural perspectives. CGU’s School of Educational Studies offers personal attention from engaged, exceptional faculty in small, seminar-style courses. Concentrations are available in Educational Policy, Evaluation & Reform, Student Affairs & Educational Justice, Teaching, Learning & Culture, Educational Evaluation & Data Analysis.

Master of Business Administration Our AACSB-accredited, 48-unit MBA program is offered through the Drucker School of Management. Prepare for success by combining Peter Drucker’s classic philosophy on business with practice-based learning that puts those principles into action. The program’s unique organization around four main modules—the Drucker Signature Platform, People & Strategy, Analysis & Decision-Making, plus a concentration—means you will earn an MBA that sets you apart from the crowd. Concentrations include Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Entrepreneurship.

Master of Arts in International Studies Develop cutting-edge technical and analytical skills, engage closely with theoretical and conceptual frameworks, and gain mastery of applications and policy issues in the real world with CGU’s International Studies program. Explore the link between politics and economics in the international arena and learn to use a variety of tools to apply theoretical knowledge to real international problems. Master of Science in Information Systems & Technology The MS in Information Systems & Technology offers a technically focused, designÂcentric curriculum that balances technology and management scholarship to achieve pragmatic solutions to challenges facing society. The 36-unit MS teaches concepts, skills, and applications necessary to create software and systems that optimize human performance and produce positive societal change. Students will take core courses in Databases, Software Development, and Communications & Networking, as well as two 3-course concentrations in Data Science & Analytics, Cybersecurity & Networking, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), IT Strategy & Innovation, and Health Informatics. The knowledge and skills gained in the program prepare students to work in a variety of information technology roles including database architect, software developer, cybersecurity analyst, data scientist, and IT manager.

Master of Arts in Psychology A national leader in applied psychological science, the Division of Behavioral & Organizational Sciences (DBOS) offers a 48-unit Master of Arts in Psychology. Engage in theoretical and practical psychology, evaluation, and human resource scholarship to solve pressing challenges within increasingly diverse communities and organizations. Examine the significant contributions of psychology and related fields to the amelioration of societal problems and public policy formulation. DBOS offers degrees in Applied Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Evaluation & Applied Research Methods, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Health Behavior Research. Our curriculum emphasizes research on psychological, social, and organizational concepts relevant to policy issues and the development of methodological skills for collecting and analyzing information in field settings. Programs in Evaluation & Applied Research Methods and Human Resource Development also serve to augment research in these areas.
