pranzo domenica b r e a t h i n g n e w life i n t o t i m e l e s s t r a d i t i o ns North Beach, San Fransisco, CA

concettoconcept Pranzo Domenica aims to provide a modern, upscale interpretation of the traditional Italian Sunday lunch tradition in San Francisco’s Little Italy. Visitors will be encouraged to take their time at the restaurant and order multiple courses to share with family and friends. The menu will include Italian inspired brunch dishes as well as a variety of fresh meats, cheeses, fruits, etc. from local suppliers. Guests will also get a sense of Italian culture when sitting in the central alfresco courtyard dining area underneath a lush lemon tree from which fresh lemon water is sourced . Exceptional and attentive service in combination with a beautifully detailed space will justify the establishment’s higher prices and keep tourists and locals alike coming back for more.

bar & lounge alfresco dining The majority of seating is located in the alfresco dining courtyard. While being completely enclosed from outside elements, a prosperous lemon tree soaring towards the glass barrel vault ceiling and calming trickles from a gorgeous fountain transports guests to the italian countryside.

As guests enter the restaurant, they are greeted by a large scale lemon floor mosaic and a welcoming lounge just beyond. Yellow leather upholstery adorning antique inspired sofas reinforce the space’s commitment to merging the past and present. A beautiful yet understated bar at the back allows patrons to sip a coffee or cocktail while waiting to be seated.

Petit Hotel Magique Discover enchantment New Orleans, LA

Concept Located just outside the tourism of New Orleans’ French Quarter on the under rated Frenchman Street, Petit Hotel Magique is a boutique hotel that is colorful, vibrant, and extraordinary. Walking through each narrow archway in this renovated creole townhouse tells a distinct story that awaits to be uncovered. Bold, contrasting color combinations as well as meticulous symmetry will be defining deisgn elements while low ambient lighting, luxe textures, and surrealist paintings create striking drama. This stylized reality will be the perfect addition to the magical realm of food, music, and culture that is New Orleans.

Washington Square Park

Small yet impactful, the check in area creates an intimate and dreamy entrance to set the tone for the rest of the hotel. The narrow archways feel like portals into distinctly different realms defined by color and unexpected details. Marbled checkered floors combined with bold wall murals and floating antique keys over a velvet curtain backdrop will immediately intrigue and excite.

UW CREDIT UNION

AN OFFICE FIT FOR WISCONSIN Madison, WI

CONCEPT The objective of this design is to provide a space for UW Credit Union call center employees to work, collaborate, and create lasting relationships with their coworkers in a down to earth yet inspiring space. Inspiration will be drawn from the causal nature and friendly culture of Madison's community. This ambiance will be portrayed through balancing industrial with natural materials, use of relaxed seating, and incorporating tavern-esque elements. By the end of the day, workers will leave satisfied with the work they’ve accomplished, and maybe even catch happy hour with a few of their coworkers.

1 Atrium

This common space provides UWCU employees with an area to start their day with a cup of coffee and socialize with their co-workers. The atrium incorporates a copper, brewery inspired coffee station that also serves as a gathering center.

1 Water on Tap 0

Reinterpreting the classic office water cooler, this pubinspired water bottle filling station gives employees another place to gather while also promoting health in the workplace. Taps and a neon sign reinforce Wisconsin’s casual tavern culture.

Central Meeting 0

A central meeting bar can be used for both formal and informal gatherings. Two half walls on either side offer a sense of privacy witout complete enclosure. The bar height counter allows for sit-stand flexibility.

Social Wing

After finishing a morning cup of coffee in the atrium, workers have the choice to veer to the office’s left entrance for a more relaxed work environment. Booth seats with adjustable curtain panels allow for a semi-private workspace or for overflow break room seating. Window benches can be used for informal collaboration as well as an area of respit.

THE DESIGNof this co-working facility creates a community for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and those who are tired of the business-as-usual work environment. The Block offers a sense of casual-cool comfort with an artful pop to inspire and promote a lively work environment. Playing with organic and linear forms helps give the space an eclectic feel and breeds a bohemian environment, while bold graphics adorning the walls throughout the space add a touch of artfulness. The entire office feels like a small urban neighborhood with various public spaces in which workers can interact with their community.

RECEPTION A custom geometric wood block reception desk and neon sign greets members as they enter The Block. These modern elements are combined with unique, large-scale, knitted pendant light fixtures, which strikes a beautiful balance between hard and soft.

GBA Internship June 2017-Present

MADISON

As Hotel Indigo-Madison works toward completion, the brand requested the creation of three conceptual ad graphics that will ultimately be used in their hotel guide. The graphics use a mixture of industrial textures, a playful pastel color palette, and references that nod to the building’s previous life as a Mautz Paint warehouse.

KANSAS CITY

As a final detail for Hotel Indigo-Kansas City, a guestroom pillow design was produced to add a touch of whimsy. Art Deco style and vintage postcards were driving design elements throughout the interior, which, in turn, resulted in the pillow’s final iteration. Pillow graphic vv

Fuse is a coworking space in Prosper, TX owned by Daugherty Property Group. The owners come from a hospitality background, working with brands such as Hilton and Marriott, which was clearly reflected their desire to bring the trend of hospitality in the workplace to the area. DPG wanted Fuse to be a space that inspires its members to do more in a space that is lively, colorful, and fun.

SOURCING

I came onto this project when I began my internship with GBA, helping source a mixture of playful and functional furniture that would flow with the new building’s industrial look. This past April Jaime Denman, the lead designer on the project, was offered an excellent opportunity with another local firm which then allowed me to take the lead to continue and finish the project by selecting all art and accessories, select additional furniture that was needed, and design 3 private offices. The first and second floor are nearly complete and DPG hopes to continue to build a third.

CUSTOM MURALS

To continue a playful aesthetic throughout the office, the owners wanted each meeting room to have its own color scheme and custom vinyl mural. Four unique designs were created for red, blue, green, and orange meeting rooms. Conceptual designs were sent to the graphic design team at DL Couch who ultimately produced the murals.
