PACE Inter nships • Internship is a gateway into the Canadian workforce and provides framework to develop hands-‐on work experience • All full-‐time programs include an internship option for students who qualify • Must maintain minimum 3.0 GPA • Commit to minimum of 140 hours direct service to internship site • PACE arranges internship sites, and provides you support through a resume building course and Career Hub • Interview for internship positions
Full-time Diploma Studies • Rigorous: 25-‐35 hours of instruction and 40+ hours of homework weekly • 2 years of education in 12-‐16 months • Classes: Monday-‐Friday, 9-‐4 • 5 courses at a time for 6-‐8 weeks • 4-‐5 assessments per course (possibility of 25 over 6 weeks) • Group projects, papers, exams, etc. • Multiple assignments and tests within the same week • Internship qualifications: 3.0 GPA, no failed courses • Career Hub, instructor-‐led site visits, and sector networking opportunities • Some programs have sector memberships (e.g. PMI, CPHR, IABC) Success tip: be financially and socially prepared/supported
