OUR NEW MISSISSAUGA CAMPUS Sheridan will be opening a new Mississauga Campus in the fall of 2011 and will be located in the city centre of Mississauga. The campus will accommodate 1,760 students, including 1,200 business students. Business study options will include a variety of diploma and graduate certificate programs.

ESL/EAP English Language Studies Sheridan offers full-time, intensive English as a Second Language classes for students who want to improve their English skills for personal, professional or academic reasons. The highest level, English for Academic Purposes (EAP) can provide students with a conditional acceptance into a diploma, degree or post-graduate certificate at Sheridan. Program Features: • 5 levels of instruction: Foundation, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Advanced and EAP • Each of the first four levels consists of an A and B module • Each session is 7 weeks (25 hours/week) • Students are tested upon arrival Courses include: • Grammar • Language Lab • Listening and Speaking • Pronunciation • Reading and Writing • Business Communication • Computer Applications • TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC

Sheridan’s Programs Sheridan offers a wide range of credentials to suit your interests and ambitions. Sheridan’s Diploma, Degree and Post-graduate Certificate studies are offered through four distinct academic schools within the institution. Students choose the type of study, length of study, campus, and in some cases, whether they would like a program with a co-op component to it. School of Animation, Arts and Design The School of Animation, Arts and Design offers innovative learning opportunities in a wide variety of artistic fields. In addition to Bachelor’s degrees, the School offers a number of joint degree programs, as well as diploma and graduate certificate programs in the areas of Digital Media and Communications, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts and Design.

School of Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences The School of Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences trains students in the fields of applied computing and telecommunications, engineering and manufacturing sciences, and industrial technology. Graduates of the School of Applied Computing and Engineering Sciences do work that will provide people with better ways to live, communicate with each other, protect the environment, and provide the information, supplies, products and services we all rely on.
Our reputation for excellence extends across each of our academic schools. School of Business Sheridan’s School of Business prepares you for a successful career by focusing on the real-world needs of businesses today such as managing growth, surviving competition, balancing cash flow, considering tax implications and building relationships. Diplomas
Bachelor Degree programs combine the theory and critical thinking of a university program with hands-on, applied learning and a practical work term. Top employers compete for these graduates and entrance into the programs themselves can be highly competitive.
The majority of Sheridan students choose our specialized diplomas because they are looking to connect seamlessly into the Canadian job market. These programs, designed in cooperation with industry partners, equip students with the skills that are in demand in today’s workplace. These up-to-the-minute diplomas are also the link to universities across Canada and around the world for many of our graduates. We offer two year diplomas and three year advanced diplomas.

Post-graduate (Ontario College Graduate Certificates) Students who have completed a university degree or college diploma may wish to choose a practical alternative to traditional Master’s level study. These one-year certificates are designed to make the connection between a degree or diploma in today’s global economy by developing hands-on skills that are in demand by business and industry. To further enhance the relevance of Sheridan’s graduate certificates, many include a paid co-op component to assist International Students in connecting to the Canadian job market.

Foundation Programs Art Fundamentals Art Fundamentals focuses on drawing, design and painting, including art theory and studio practice. This allows students to assess which area of the visual arts is most appropriate to their talent and ability. Project-based courses develop a portfolio of work in various media. Housing Residence Sheridan’s residences feature modern, clean facilities; a safe, smoke-free environment; and fully furnished suites with common kitchen and laundry facilities. Residence Facilities September – April rooms are available on both campuses for approximately $5,700 CAD. Applications must be submitted online with a refundable $250.00 CAD deposit. Health Care Through our campus health care centres, we offer a full range of health services to meet students’ needs. Nurses and doctors keep regular hours and provide both services and referrals. Health Insurance coverage is included in all international student tuition fees.

University Transfers Our goal is to make it as easy as possible to build on qualifications you have earned at other institutions or at Sheridan. Mobile Computing Sheridan has one of the largest and most advanced Mobile Computing programs in Canada, with over 5,000 students benefiting from the integration of laptop computers into their learning experience. Students in Mobile Computing programs are required to own a laptop computer that complies with their program’s hardware and software standards. Our Mobile Computing programs allow students to learn in the way in which they will need to work after graduation: collaboratively, using online resources. Can I work in Canada while I am attending Sheridan ? A. Yes, you are allowed to work on campus while you are studying full-time. You may also be eligible for an off-campus work permit after studying full-time for 6 months with a minimum GPA average of 2.0. You can also apply for a work permit if your program of study has a cooperative education (co-op) option.
