Chad Higgins & ISIT to Ring in Holiday with Motown Recording Artist KEM for “What Christmas Means” Tour ISIT to sing with KEM at the Brown Theatre in Louisville; three additional engagements booked for December
LEXINGTON, Kentucky (December 2, 2013) – Rhythm of Gospel nominated group Chad Higgins & In Spirit and In Truth (ISIT) continues to capture the nation’s attention with their high-‐energy and soulful style. ISIT will bring their melody-‐filled signature to the holiday season as Motown recording artist KEM has invited the group to sing with him for his “What Christmas Means Tour”. The tour lands at the Brown Theatre (315 W. Broadway) in Louisville, KY on Saturday, December 21 at 8 p.m. The show will be presented by The Kentucky Center with ticket prices starting at $30 (www.kentuckycenter.org/BoxOffice). “The group is very excited because it is not every day that you get a call to sing with a Grammy-‐nominated artist, such as KEM,” said Chad Higgins. KEM recently released What Christmas Means Deluxe CD, which is an expansion of his first Christmas album, What Christmas Means (which rose to #9 on the Top R&B/Hip-‐Hop Albums chart in 2012). The CD includes four newly-‐recorded bonus tracks (that KEM produced & executive produced), and is highlighted by the newly-‐recorded bonus track “Jesus” featuring legendary R&B artists Patti LaBelle and Ronald Isley. “I am a huge fan of KEM,” said Higgins. “Both vocally and musically, he has a unique style that separates him from other artists.” ISIT has performed across the nation, sharing the stage with gospel geniuses Kurt Carr, Tramaine Hawkins, Donnie McClurkin, Vashawn Mitchell and Vickie Winans. The group has also provided background vocals for Rodnie Bryant and multi-‐award winner Myron Butler. After being nominated for six Rhythm of Gospel awards, including Contemporary Album of the Year, ISIT released their second single, “Thank You”, off their sophomore album Predestined. Prior to their performance with KEM, ISIT will be in Louisville on December 15 to minister at Elim Baptist Church (3114 Greenwood Avenue) for its 9 a.m. service and More than Conquerors Church (4600 Cane Run Road) for its 11:30 a.m. service. The group will then minister in Lexington at Greater New Hope Christian Center (1713 Jennifer Road) on Thursday, December 19 for its annual “Night with Jesus” service. The service begins at 7 p.m. and admission is free. “ISIT has been blessed to experience a lot of firsts this year, from our Rhythm of Gospel nominations to now singing with KEM,” said Higgins. “We are grateful for and humbled by each opportunity and look forward to ending the year on a high note.” For more information about Chad Higgins & ISIT, visit www.chadhigginsisit.com.
