Great journeys aren’t a straight line—they have lots of turns, unexpected surprises, and if you’re lucky, you meet some true friends along the way. So it’s been with Chalk Couture. Years ago, I created an oversized chalkboard. The board became a statement piece in my home, and it got my gears turning: what more could I do with it? I pursued many paths to develop the ideal magnetic chalkboard, Chalk Transfers, and Chalkology Paste. There was more than one early-stage epic fail, and sometimes the twists and turns felt like dead ends. But with laughter and dedication—and yes, true friends met along the way—Chalk Couture was born, and the world became

TIPS FOR
chalk transfer USAGE
Peel your Chalk Transfer from its backer. Pull top to bottom to avoid stretching (never diagonally). The reverse side of the Transfer will be slightly sticky.
2 “Fuzz” your Transfer before first use to mellow its stickiness. This is particularly important when using on glass or similar surfaces. To “fuzz,” lightly press adhesive side onto a soft cloth, picking up just a small amount of “fuzz” from the fabric.
3 Press and smooth the fuzzed Transfer onto your desired surface. Then, use a Squeegee to quickly spread a thin layer of Paste or Ink over chosen design.
4 Immediately remove Transfer from project (Paste dries like a dream!). Wash the Transfer completely in water and allow to dry before returning to backer.
