DAY 4: BRATISLAVA This afternoon we visit Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, which is situated at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains on the banks of the Danube River. This afternoon you will enjoy an excursion that will start with a walking tour through the carefully restored old town. You can walk through Kapilus Lane, where you will be able see the seminar of the priests as well as the Gothic Church of the Clarissin Order. The market square features the highlights of the Old Town, the Roland fountain, the impressive townhouses of the former nobility and the ‘Primatial Palace’ with its remarkable gallery of famous European artists. The 17th century Gobelin collection is particularly worth seeing. On the way back to the vessel, you will pass by the ‘Hviedaslav Square’ with the Opera House, the Ganymed Fountain and the concert hall. Depart Bratislava and while you are sleeping you will be cruising your way to Vienna. (B,L,D)

DAY 3: BUDAPEST Today after breakfast you will enjoy a city tour of the twin old world capitals, Buda & Pest, which are linked by wonderful bridges spanning the Danube, the tour includes such sites as Fisherman’s Bastion & St. Matthias Church. A must see is the view from Citadell Hill and of course the Parliament building and Hero’s Square. We depart Budapest in the early evening, and make our way to Bratislava. (B,L,D)

DAY 8: REGENSBURG Today enjoy a tour of the historic city of Regensburg. Founded by the Romans in 179 AD as Casta Regina (meaning Fortress by the

DAY 2: BUDAPEST Upon arrival you will board our river cruise ship the Elegant, where you will be greeted with a welcome drink. The 5-star Amadeus Elegant recently launched, and can accomodate up to 150 passengers in its 67 spacious cabins. She is distinguished by staterooms on her decks, which have full-length French doors that open into your cabin (cabins on the first deck have large windows). Original works of art can be found throughout. (L,D)

DAY 7: PASSAU This morning we will make a brief stop in the town of Linz.Afterwards we make our way to the charming town of Passau. Upon arrival you will enjoy a tour of the city. With its unique charm and its atmosphere is one of the most beautiful and spectacular German cities on the Danube. This evening we will continue on to Regensburg. (B,L,D)

DAY 1: USA - Budapest Depart the USA for Budapest today. (in-flight meals)

DAY 9: PASSAU - MUNICH After disembarking, we will travel to Munich, Germany. Located at the river Isar in the south of Bavaria, Munich is famous for its beautiful architecture, fine culture, and the annual Oktoberfest beer celebration. The city’s cultural scene is second to none in Germany. Although it was heavily damaged by allied bombing during World War II, many of its historic buildings have been rebuilt and the city center appears mostly as it did in the late 1800s. Tonight enjoy a Farewell dinner at your hotel. (B,D)

DAY 6: VIENNA - DURNSTEIN - MELK You will depart Vienna and cruise during the night. Today you will visit Durnstein and Melk. The charming town of Durnstein offers the unique combination of a breathtaking scenery, traditional architecture, and places of historic interest. The breathtaking scenery with its ancient, terraced vineyards, the numerous cultural sites and the mild climate will make you want to linger. You will also visit Melk. Located on the bank of the Danube River, Melk Abbey stands crowned by towers and resplendent in a golden hue. Especially noteworthy is the church with magnificent frescoes by Johann Michael Rottmayr and the library containing countless medieval manuscripts.(B,L,D)

Refunds: Cancellations made more than 180 days prior to departure for any reason, will be issued a refund less $450 per person. Cancellations made 150 days to 125 days prior to departure date will receive a refund less $1,000 per person. Cancellations made 124 to 61 days prior to departure date will receive a refund of 50% of the total trip cost. Any cancellations made within 60 days of departure will be charged 100% of total trip cost. Each CD traveler receives our comprehensive Trip Interruption Insurance including Medical, Baggage, and Missed Connection insurance, plus Emergency Assistance Services. CD strongly encourages participants to purchase an additional trip cancellation plan. Plans are available through us at www.chamberdiscoveries.com. Written notice of cancellation is required and is effective when received by Chamber Discoveries during normal business hours. Note: Valid U.S. passport required. Single supplements are limited.
