How would you like to take the first Thursday of every month, from September through June, to explore and learn about Tuolumne County? Leadership Tuolumne County can give you and 12 other participants from different businesses and agencies just such an opportunity. What is Leadership Tuolumne County (LTC)? The LTC mission statement is that LTC provides a community -wide program to ensure a solid foundation of informed and effective leaders, in order to meet and address present and future challenges which face the citizens of Tuolumne County. How do we insure this happens? We provide topic days, with flair and fun, covering specific activities in the daily life of your community. We start with a one day retreat that helps you discover your leadership skills and the leadership skills of your class. The goal is to never lose sight of enhancing your skill set and we assure you of that "wow" factor from the very first day! This ten (10) month program involves ten activity days and participation in a community service project. There are eight topic days that will allow you to meet and interact with local leaders and decision makers while learning more about what they do, how they contribute to the county, and how you can make a difference. The Topic's included are: Government Law & Justice Education Business & the Economy Media & Communications Arts, Culture, and Quality of Life Environment & Land Use Health & Human Services Long-time residents of the County, having participated in LTC, have said "we thought we knew everything about the County, but this really gives you a behind the scenes look." This is your opportunity to define your role in the community and help direct the destiny of Tuolumne County!
