The American dream was alive in the Republic of Work this November as ambitious businesses from Cork gathered to learn more about the steps needed for a successful launch into the US market.

Guest speakers included Conor Kenny (pictured) of the US Embassy’s SelectUSA team who spoke about how the US Government can support Irish companies as they look to invest in the United States; Kilian Cawley of OCO Global who used his 25 years of FDI experience to guide the attendees stepby-step through what details need to be considered when taking steps to invest in the US; and, Steve Lenox of Choose New Jersey outlined why New Jersey could be the perfect fit for any Cork business.

The star attraction of the morning was Andy Mackin. In 2004, Andy started Mackin EHS after 21 years in the Naval Service. Now, nearly 20 years later he is CEO of the Mackin Group, a global organisation head quartered in Cork, who are committed to providing top quality professional business-to-business services through its companies.
