An artist created an installation as a part of a festival for contemporary art. His work of art is in a square in Paris, and nobody left looking at it calmly. One angry Parisian even attacked the American artist. So what is this all about? The installation is a big Christmas tree, but a lot of people see different things in it. A big upside down wine bottle stopper? Or something else? Use your imagination!
Cat sold with the house > BEGINNER > An Australian couple was selling their house. They said to the estate agent that their cat would go with the house. They meant it as a joke, but the estate agent wrote it into the contract. Somebody offered to pay $2.2 million dollars for the house, and this person insisted on getting the cat, too. Without the cat, he would pay $140,000 less for the house. The couple was happy to get 2.2 million dollars and they sold the house with the cat.

INTERESSANTE NACHRICHTEN DER WELT Mitten in München Schwabing wurde im Kreuzungsbereich Tristanstraße und König-Marke-Straße bei Bauarbeiten eine 125 Kilogramm schwere Fliegerbombe gefunden. Kräfte der Feuerwehr und Polizei sowie ein Sprengmeister waren vor Ort. Es wurde ein Bereich von 200 Meter im Umkreis um die Fliegerbombe abgesperrt.

Geräumt wurden Teile der Rümannstraße, Isoldenstraße und Wartburgplatz, Eisenacher Straße, KönigMarke-Straße, Heckscherstraße, Leopoldstraße, Parzivalstraße und Parzivalplatz. Im Willi-Graf- und im Sophie-SchollGymnasium wurde eine Betreuungsstelle eingerichtet, teilt ein Feuerwehrsprecher FOCUS Online mit. Es stehen auch Shuttle-Busse für Betroffene bereit. Ab 18.00 Uhr ist die Isoldenstraße auch für den Individualverkehr gesperrt. Der öffentliche Nahverkehr ist davon noch nicht betroffen, lässt die Polizei mitteilen. Im Schwabinger Krankenhaus mussten einzelne Räume evakuiert werden. Am späteren Abend dann die Entwarnung: Die Bombe wurde entschärft, die Anwohner konnten in ihre Wohnungen zurück. (www.focus.de)
München ist sehr reich an unter Boden liegenden Bomben. Fast bei allen größeren Bauarbeiten werden Bomben aus dem II. Weltkrieg gefunden. Diese können aber nicht immer entschärft werden. Die gefundene Bomben im Jahre 2012 und 2013 sollten gesprengt werden, und damit wurden die Häuser und die Geschäfte in der Umgebung stark beschädigt. Aber es gaben keine Personenschaden. Nyelvtanulás: How to write better in English? If it takes you twice as long to write something in English as it does in Hungarian, then try these tips!
Ask yourself "Why am I writing?" By thinking about the purpose of your text (perhaps you want to explain something, or ask something etc) you can choose the most appropriate vocabulary and level of formality. Who are you writing to? Who is your reader, and what is their level of knowledge or English? Choose your language carefully and avoid words and expressions that are too technical or complicated. Plan before you write. Prepare for writing by making a plan, and looking up all the words you need before you start writing. A plan helps you keep a clear focus and helps you avoid repetition. Just jot down the points you want to make and order them into logical paragraphs. Remember that paragraphs shouldn't be too long. In fact, in certain types of writing, such as emails, your paragraphs can be one sentence long. It's quicker to look up all the words you need before you write so you don't interrupt your "flow" of writing.
replying to someone, you can write "Thank you for your email." Use standard greetings and endings. Most letters begin with "Dear Mr X" or "Dear Ms X" and should end "Yours sincerely" (or in American English, "Sincerely yours"). If you know your reader quite well, you can be less formal with "Dear (first name)" and end "Best wishes" or "Best regards". If you absolutely have to write "Dear Sir" end with "Yours faithfully" rather than "Yours sincerely". In emails you can start with the first name "Jane", or precede it with "Hi". If you are writing to a number of people, you can leave out the greeting. To end an email you can write "Best wishes", "Kind regards", "Thanks" or in British English "Cheers". Use a closing expression in letters such as "Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance." In emails you can write, for example, "Many thanks for your help." In letters, write the date out in full: 7 June 2006 or June 7, 2006. Avoid using abbreviated dates such as (7/6/2006) as although British speakers will understand this as 7 June, Americans will understand it to be July 6.

Use linking expressions to connect ideas and sentences. Words such as 'and', 'but', 'therefore', 'however', guide your reader through your ideas and make your writing easier to read.
Be careful of referring words such as 'this' and 'it'. Make sure they refer to the right word or phrase. Write as concisely as possible. Don't make your sentences too long, as they might become difficult to read. Avoid more than two ideas in any sentence. Follow this word order principle to keep your sentences concise: Subject – Verb – Object – Manner – Place – Time (Who — Does—What— How— Where- When) "Please could you send us the confirmation as quickly as possible." "The Managing Director will visit the factory on Monday 10 July at 10 am." Edit what you write. Use your computer spell-check, but check for grammatical mistakes yourself. Edit out unnecessary words and phrases and avoid oldfashioned words such as "hereby", "herewith" and abovementioned". Rather than writing "We hereby enclose a brochure", get to the point with "We are enclosing a brochure." Read what you have written out aloud. Is it easy to read, or are the sentences too long? Have you put in enough punctuation? Get someone else to check what you have written. Another person may see something that is unclear or a mistake.
Neue Wörter lernen Vokabeln lernen ist für viele keine angenehme Vorstellung. Wir sehen lange Wortlisten vor uns, die wir nun in unseren Kopf hämmern sollen. Allerdings kann Vokabeln lernen auch ganz anders sein:
Zettel auf alle Gegenstände kleben Kleben Sie auf alle Gegenstände in Ihrer Wohnung einen kleinen Zettel mit dem Wort aus der Sprache, die Sie lernen wollen. Wenn immer Ihr Blick auf einen Zettel fällt, sprechen Sie das Wort laut aus. So lernen Sie ganz nebenbei eine ganze Menge Vokabeln.
Bildwörterbücher nutzen Bildwörterbücher sind sehr gut geeignet, um Vokabeln zu lernen. Es gibt Sie in vielen Sprachen zu kaufen – Sie können aber auch ein deutsches Bildwörterbuch nehmen und dort zu den deutschen Worten jeweils die Übersetzungen hineinschreiben.
Rätsel lösen Eine spielerische Art, Vokabeln zu lernen, besteht darin, Rätsel zu lösen. Zu Beginn kann das ein
bisschen frustrierend sein, weil man einfach sehr viel im Wörterbuch nachgucken muss . Für Fortgeschrittene ist dies aber eine nette Art, das Vokabelwissen zu vertiefen. Gut geeignet sind vor allem Suchrätsel, in denen aus einer großen Anzahl von wild durcheinander gemischten Buchstaben Wörter gefunden werden müssen. Der Vorteil: Sie können diese Rätsel auch schaffen, wenn Sie die Wörter selbst nicht verstehen – für das Vokabeln-lernen macht es allerdings nur Sinn, wenn Sie die unbekannten Wörter auch nachschlagen. Das geht natürlich nur, wenn Sie nicht bestimmte Vokabeln lernen wollen oder müssen.
Collagen machen Nehmen wir an, Sie wollen Vokabeln zu einem bestimmten Bereich, wie z.B. Einkaufen gehen lernen. Sie können sich dann eine Lerncollage erstellen. Schneiden Sie aus Zeitschriften passende Bilder aus und schreiben Sie sich die Vokabeln daneben. Skizzieren Sie vielleicht einige Verkaufszenen und schreiben Sie die entsprechenden Sätze in der anderen Sprache in Sprechblasen dazu. Je mehr Spaß Sie beim Erstellen solcher Lerncollagen entwickeln, desto leichter wird Ihnen das Lernen der Vokabeln fallen
