Coaching Working at Except is a far cry from working in a conventional organization. In order to establish an organization that bursts with talent, entrepreneurial spirit, engaging personalities and a strong work ethic, we've gone from being a 'normal' company with employees to a new model we developed ourselves. We do not hire people in the conventional sense, Except consists mostly of independent professionals and a small support staff. And they receive coaching.
My ambition for this year I want to fly, sky high!!! I aim to acquire â‚Ź 100.000 of assignments to Except and reshape the team of Exceptionals to a flexible team of 15 senior entrepreneurs, 15 junior entrepreneurs and 5 students.

Once upon a time I was really into Social Media to bridge the generation gap. Research proved that 50+ en 25- were equally fast and accurate at solving a problem. The group in the middle needed a lot more time and made a lot more mistakes. 50+: Are trained professionals and have a network of experts 25-50: Were trained to use the library, Ilse and other search engines. 25: How the hell did they manage to have the same score as the senior professionals? Social Media enables the youngsters to tap into the collective knowledge of their network. 9 years ago I decided it was easier to become a Social Media expert than a trained professional with a lot of knowlege. Nowadays I’m ok with my own skillset. Sometimes I’m still asked as a Social Media expert, even though my knowledge is seriously out-dated. Method AIR3 Except is going to fly!!! For coaching we use the AIR3 method in order to make that happen. AIR3 stands for coaching on Accountability, Initiative, Results and 3 personal goals. These are the steps: The method is compatible with SiD. It consists of five cyclical steps: setting goals (and determining appropriate measures of success), mapping the system (preparation), synthesizing knowledge to understand the system, mapping possible routes to optimize the system, and evaluating the results.

Prospectus All about me Background Educated in leisure management, I know how to party. However, in 2002 I couldn’t find a paid job. I invited some extra guests to a party I organised for family members to show what I could do. That was the beginning of my career as a human resource manager at a healthcare organization. After 4 year, the director asked me out, my tears of laughter in response was the end of my career. I decided I never wanted to be an employee, employer or manager again. My days as a self-agent started. At first as an organization consultant, within 6 months I met Moraan and Tatiana of the Hub and decided that wanted to do more with sustainability and innovation. Part of the founding community of the Hub Rotterdam, an active member of the international Seats2Meet community and a few assignments later, I met Tom. And I fell in love with Except. Challenge I would like to be proud of my achievements, be able to pay for my peanut buttered sandwich, and make this world a fun and inspiring place to live on. Product I aim to acquire € 100.000 of assignments for Except and reshape the team of Exceptionals to a flexible team of 15 senior entrepreneurs, 15 junior entrepreneurs and 5 students. Inspiration Precedents What other initiatives are an example for your challenge? Inspiration: • Seats2Meet, they found a really good business model and inspire many organizations with their Society 3.0 movement. • Hacker movements like ChaosComputerClub. The way they are organised and share knowledge is a big inspiration for me. Brilliant failures: • The Hub: I love their intention, but in my experience The Hub Rotterdam is a volunteer club. Their expansion model does seem to attract many people. • Kaos Pilots: An amazing school in Arhus Denmark. They tried to expand and failed miserably.
