Dear Character Counts family,
LAUREN KAY WEBER Executive DirectorWhat an unbelievable year 2020 has been! Our inboxes have been filled with buzzwords like “new normal,” “unprecedented,” and “pivot,” and Zoom has taught us a whole new way to communicate. As we turn to a new year, I would like us to pause, reflect, and savor the journey we have taken together over these tumultous past months.
At Character Counts Mid Shore, we had a year unlike any other. We began our program as normal in October 2019, but had to cut it short in February due to growing concerns around COVID-19. As the pandemic unfolded around us, our program moved virtual. Beginning in early March, our Character at-Home lessons began with daily educational content posted featuring Character Coaches, community leaders, and staff. It was a hit! With over 39,000 views, our distance learning was a success.
Our 2020 was also a period of inflection for Character Counts Mid Shore. Our Board of Directors considered many avenues for carrying forward the lessons learned during the pandemic. I invite you to visit our website, www.CharacterCountsMidShore.com to learn about Character Counts Mid Shore’s dissolution and our transition to For All Seasons.
