Historical Museum in Beirut 2014
The valley of ‘Kalb’ is a historic site situated in Lebanon, and it is as old as the country itself. Being a natural barrier, where the mountain meets the river and the Mediterranean Sea, the achievement of crossing it was traditionally commemorated by building monuments and leaving inscriptions sculpted on the rocks of the river. Today, there are a total of 20 inscriptions, and 4 monuments, from the ancient Egyptian, to the colonial French era, passing by the romans, Greeks, ottomans ... The site has been said to summarize almost 4000 years of Lebanon’s history in one place. Positioned literally and figuratively at the threshold of nature and history, The Museum projected will help the visitor understand the site, and comprehend the history of Lebanon and the future of this small country. The building will provide a much-needed exhibition space, missing in today’s visit, as well as other functions like a restaurant, a souvenir shop, service rooms, and green areas. The museum is thought as an abstract extension and transformation of the land: the material used will derive from the region’s natural landscape where mountain, river and sea meet. Thus, the design strategy is based on reinforcing the essential continuity of nature and history in the human experience. Together with the interpretive exhibit program and the continuity of the landscape, the architecture is intended to create an inspirational experience for the visitor and intrigue his curiosity.

The first approach was to try to connect the site with the historic elements that are present in the valley. This intervention aim to reevaluate the visitor experience, it start by creating a plaza where the visit will begin. This will divide the project in two parts, the first where architecture is present but minimal, and which will lead to the second part where the museum really exist. These two parts, are separated by the main highway and the connection between them will be by an underground passage.

MASS PLAN
The Museum will stand on the edge of the valley, and the geometric shape of the site will inspire the outline of the building. The sea water will enter the site and specific parts of the museum, and vegetation will cover it. The museum will be a succession of ‘volumes’, each representing an era. The visit will end on the roof where will be installed a big green space. Axonometry

Skyscaper in Paris Evolo Competition-2015
Located at the historical ten kilometer Axis of Paris, which starts at the Louvre and passes through the Champs-ElysÊes and Arc de Triumph, is the district of La Defense which is currently Europe’s largest business district, with new skyscrapers rising every year. The contrast between the historical Haussmann Paris and the modern district of la Defense is actually increasing, and today this gap creates two completely different architectural faces in Paris. The passage from one part to the other is far from a transition, and creates a sudden change between two different identities. The axis of Defense, which brings together the famous monuments of Paris, offers great architectural and emotional values but loses momentum on the Neuilly Bridge, the point where the old Paris and modern La Defense district meet. The Neuilly Bridge is a historical point of the city, always serving as an access to the heart of Paris but today, the hasty transition does not allow the passengers to enjoy the two identities of the city. The new tower will connect the modern Defense district to the old Paris. Built over the Seine River, it will be a Bridge Tower, making it possible for the individuals to cross through different platforms and ramps. The building is characterized by many different spaces that leave their use open to improvisation. Therefore, life develops in different areas of the structure, with different intensities. (Denser on the side of La Defense and gradually decreasing till the Haussmann part)
Bridge Tower : The Idea
The idea was to liberate the tower, and instead of having a big volume laying on the site, the structure will allow us to fragment the tower into different volumes, therefore rethinking the basic concept of a skyscraper: instead of a simple vertical relation, ground-sky, like nearly all the tall buildings on the defense today, our tower will be liberated from the ground and have an imposing horizontal axis which will take the visitor up and forward. The volumes will appear as if they are flying, and a multitude of functions will come to fill the different spaces, making the complex a meeting point for the Parisians and the visitors who will find a diversity of offices, residences, cultural and sportive spaces, public realms, restaurants, a commercial center, and a museum. The vertical grid and the mesh allow the building to breath, and the structure offers many open spaces, as well as unlimited future possibilities: the building may change its shape and form any way the city needs. The platforms create a continuation of the city on the height, which proposes a free circulation and offers a new way to live and admire the capital. The new tower is a first step in the conversion of la defense sector, from a static concrete jungle, towards an active, vibrant and sensitive architecture.

Between The Sea and the Sky RedSand Astronomy Center Competition Winner - May 2015
The site of Red Sand is a marine military fort built in the sea as a first line of defense against the German boat attacks. It was designed by Guy Mansell, an eccentric civil engineer, and was constructed between May and December 1943. Each tower was built on a base of four hollow reinforced concrete legs of 1 meter diameter each, that supported the 12m x12m steel volumes. On the decks, the military equipment was installed. The competition aimed to transform these military structures that are unused and deterring, into a Center for Astronomy research, due to its detachment from all the light pollution found in the city and its surroundings. The project is situated between the sky and sea, with the human as a center. Our main question was how to bring life to an existing military structure, with aesthetic elements including an industrial connotation. For this transformation, we placed all programs related to the observation and study of the stars in the existing elements, including the dormitories, a dining hall, and technical elements necessary for the proper functioning of life on this “platform.
The project evolve around two basic ideas, the first was to try to connect the existing elements with each other’s. For this, the first architectural gest was to integrate a longitudinal volume that accentuate the existing axis in the middle. This volume, with the four existing structure will be the ‘working axes where we will have the access, the offices, the observatories, the reading areas‌ This axis will be topped by two volumes that will contain two telescopes needed for the researches and an observatory deck. Also it will be connected to the other three structures by three covered bridges. These three elements, who are apart, will contain the rooms on one side (the two elements on the right) and the restaurant/agora in the other. After connecting the existing elements, the second idea was to connect them with the surrounding, mainly the sea, for this we created a big circular floating platform that will surround the structures. By this we wanted to limit the site in the infinity of the sea and the sky. It will give the people who will spend long time in the astronomy center, a big platform where they can use to get a little distance from the project.

Beirut Contempory Art Center Working with the existing
Beirut is a city full of contrasts. Not just when it comes to cultural diversity and unstable political situations, but also in terms of architecture and urban planning. There are diverse influences such as economic perspectives and historical layers which are responsible for shaping the contemporary Beirut and thus feeding ongoing discussions among planners, architects, politicians and citizens. There are quite different opinions, especially concerning how to deal with Beirut’s cultural heritage in terms of restoring, reprogramming, and reusing or simply demolishing it. The Egg or alternatively, the “dome” or “bubble” was completed in 1968 and is still a living witness of the Lebanese modernist architecture style in the sixties. It was a 1,000-seat movie theater and was a part of the largest commercial center in the Middle East. After 15 years of civil war and decades of threats of demolition, the bullet-riddled, concrete ovuleshaped structure still stands, an undeniably distinctive icon of Beirut’s city center, its war scars present a lesson in the Lebanese political history. Conserving and reviving this building will put it in a new perspective, where iconic war scars building don’t disappear but reemerge from the dust to relive, by taking new functions, as well as becoming true witnesses of the cruel war lived. The building presents, in addition to its iconic Movie theatre, 4 floors, each of 3500 square meters, and two adjacent floors of 1000 m2 each. In between, a patio of 30 by 10m creates a division of the building. The considered program consists of exhibition areas, both for temporary and permanent exhibitions, a reception hall, a restaurant, a bookshop, and green areas.
The main idea was to create a new identity to the ravaged building, giving it something new, but also conserving the traces of war. The first approach was to eliminate the unnecessary floors, and create an inner hall that will give visual connection in the whole building. The access to the new contemporary Art center will be a continuation of the urban space. Finally metal structures will envelope a part of the building, creating shades and protection from the rain, and defining the new spaces in the building. The Structure will have deformations in it, emphasizing on the entrance and other functional areas, and will also contain a light protecting material which will have a pattern inspired by the bullet holes present in the building.

Urban Vortex Shanghai,China,2014
Shanghai is the largest Chinese city by population and the largest city proper by population in the world, with more than 24 million as of 2013. It is a global financial center and for centuries a major administrative, shipping, and trading town. Shanghai grew in importance in the 19th century due to European recognition of its favorable port location and economic potential. The City have a very complex transportation system, relying on the subway , cars , bicycle, but the pedestrians pass by as if they are invisible, and many of the roads and buildings are of a great scale that the people feel like they are crushed by the bigness of everything in this city. So the work was to improve the pedestrian experience, rethinking one of the most used urban elements by the people of shanghai, The Pedestrian Bridges. Giving these huge Structures other functions than only passing, will transform them to an urban vortex: people will be attracted not only to pass them but also to spend time in them, by introducing restaurants shops, art galleries, and green spaces.

Magasin Leather Fashion Store
Fashion environments are defined typically, by a rather restrained minimalism that focuses the attention only on the clothing, for the reason of only selling clothes. The concept in this project was to create a different kind of space where architecture and fashion fuse, materials speak with daring shapes. The project aims to create a fully-functioning shop with an embedded atmosphere of virtual, sensory, and communal interfaces. The main entrance will take an embracing form that will invite the people passing by to enter. This will give also a distinguished image to new shop. On the inside, the first floor will include a welcome desk, transaction counter, fitting area and customer lounge. Private showroom, stock storage will be on the mezzanine floor, and walls will include product display. The shop will have a new image. It will be an active participant in a new type of environment that will be appealing to customers, and will put in front design and fashion.
