THE CONTRAST An antiquity is surrounded by different kinds of elements which can be seen through the contrast in shapes, styles and forms. The contrast between the building Kolej Gemilang and UOB Medan Pasar Branch shows the journey of time. It brings the elements of evolution from different epochs, value of colour and building height to current modern era that shows the spirit of antique architecture. JING JUN

The road is split into two: one is for vehicles and one is for passengers to walk.. It considers a small square for visitors to rest and relax. PASAR SENI Pasar Seni , Also Known as Central Market starts its life as an wet market. Its founder is Yap Ah Loy, the city Chinese kapitan. The market sells fish ,meats and vegies back then , but now it sells all the handcraft made by Malaysians and it serves as one of our tourist zone. The people here in the market share thought , friendly and kind. They always serves you with a smile and I can see that they lives a fulfilling life everyday. A lot of tourist come to visit this place for souvenir. Although the price is a bit expensive for us , the tourist seems taking that as the reasonable price. When Central Market is relocated in 1980 the Malaysian Heritage Society successfully stop the demolition of building . On 1986 Kumpulan Melewar Berhad took ownership of the building to promote Malaysian culture through the sales of local art and craft products. In 2004, the Kha Seng Group acquired this iconic building. Under the company Central Market Sdn Bhd, and it being transformed into award winning tourist zone. This is one of my favourite place to go when I feel stressful, outside the building have a lot of stalls sells food , and inside the building there is a lot of handcrafts. Whenever I feel stressful ill just go there by LRT and grab some food and window shopping inside. Most of the tourist did the same thing I did I hope they feel this relaxing and found some interesting stuffs in Pasar Seni.

Counting the time, measuring the history and weighing the cultures are all we have to preserve the heritage from fading away. By knowing how many unit of people, buildings or how much activities they do whether it is in the past, presence or future is something that we should keep in mind about as this is significant in helping us to know how long the history can last, or how much can be created and how deep it is kept in one’s heart. Photographs are one of the best way of doing it.
