MODERN TOWERS

IN CONCLUSION, THERE WERE FOUR (4) IDEAS THAT COLLECTIVELY DROVE OUR DESIGN: THE IDEA OF A BALANCED CO-EXISTANCE WITH THE EXISTING LANDSCAPE, A GOAL TO RE-ESTABLISH THE ECO-SYSTEM TO ITS FORMER GLORY, THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLY MODERN, ‘LOW IMPACT’ CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGIES, AND THE MITIGATION OF EXISTING POLLUTION SOURCES. THE PHILIDELPHIA DESIGN ACKNOWLDGES THAT THE AREA SEVERELY LACKS GREEN AND OPEN SPACES. HOWEVER, WE DO NOT FEEL THAT PETTY ISLAND SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE IN IT’S CURRENT STATE OR DEVOTED TOTALLY AS A PRESERVATION. TAKING INTO ACCOUNT OUR PAST LESSONS FROM ASSIGNING IMPROPER LAND-USES, PETTY ISLAND WOULD IN FACT BECOME A MODEL ON HOW WE COULD BEST CO-EXIST WITH NATIVE FLORA AND FAUNA. WHILE NOT ONLY PRESERVING THEIR HABITATS, THE PHILIDELPHIA DESIGN CALLS FOR THE RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIVE LANDSCAPE. IN ALL REGARDS INCLUDING AIR, WATER AND LAND QUALITY, WE ACCOUNT FOR THE MAINTENANCE, MITIGATION AND CLEAN-UP OF THE EXISTING WET-LANDS, BROWN FIELDS AND RIVER WATER USING ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES AND SMARTH TECHNOLOGY. THE PHILIDELPHIA DESIGN PROPOSES THE USE OF ONLY THE CLEANEST AND MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY CONSTRUCTION AND SITE MATERIALS. BUILDINGS WOULD PERFORM SEVERAL SERVICES, CHIEF AMONG THEM; GATERING ALTERNATIVE ENERIGES. WE PROPOSE SPACE WITHIN THIS VISIONARY, 21ST CENTURY DESIGN, BE DESIGNATED TO THE EDUCATION, RESEARCH AND MANUFACTURE OF GREEN TECHNOLOGIES. IN ADDITION TO ADDING JOBS TO THE LOCAL ECONOMY, PHILADELPHIA WILL CONTINUE ITS PROGRESS TOWARDS BECOMING A ‘GREENE COUNTRIE TOWNE”. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR REVIEWING OUR PROPOSAL.
