Defining tomorrow, today.
Quarterly Report Q4 2018
Whew… what a year it has been. From winning Chamber of the Year to the passage of major legislative priorities, 2018 was one for the books. But it doesn’t take an exceptional year to want to celebrate our Chamber members, because every year each of our members is outstanding and deserves a celebration. Which is exactly why we created...
We, along with our presenting sponsor, CresCom Bank, hosted the inaugural event on November 8 at the Gibbes Museum of Art. We set out to celebrate each of our 1,600 members and their more than 160,000 employees. And celebrate is just what we did. The experience began as guests exited the parking garage and were greeted by a fleet of Volvo’s ready to transport them to the museum. The evening kicked off with The Honors reception where we recognized outstanding business leaders and organizations who are providing exceptional advancements to the Charleston region. During the reception, Leonard L. Hutchison III with Wells Fargo was presented the prestigious Joseph P. Riley Leadership Award.
Immediately following was The Celebration. Energy bounded as members enjoyed the sounds from local legends, The Blue Dogs, and delicious tastings from some our region’s amazing culinary experts. Members joined together behind the photobooth to capture the moment before taking journeys through AT&T’s virtual reality experience, Southwest’s dream vacation caricatures and the South Carolina Ports Authority’s visual display – just to name a few. It was a night to remember filled with connections, laughter and good times. Thank you to each of our sponsors and vendors. And thank you to you… our members. Without your continued support we would not be able to work every day to drive solutions for a thriving community. Cheers to you!
“ Southwest Airlines was thrilled to share a little hospitality and fun with guests at Member-Bration. It was a great night celebrating the accomplishments of the Charleston business community. Ana Schwager
