Overview
iBookstore content providers, authors, publishers, and reviewers must follow these guidelines when promoting titles on websites, advertising, and other marketing communications.
Requirements for using the iBookstore badges The iBookstore badges shown in these guidelines are for use only by rightholders with an Apple-approved publication available on the iBookstore and by agencies, reviewers, or other third parties authorized by the rightholder to promote the iBookstore publication. Apple reserves the right to withdraw permission to use an iBookstore badge anytime its use is inconsistent with these guidelines or is otherwise deemed inappropriate by Apple. Legal requirements All materials must properly attribute every Apple trademark with the appropriate symbol and credit lines. See www.apple.com/legal/trademark for more detailed legal requirements.
If customers using a desktop computer have iTunes installed, the iBookstore link takes them to the book’s page on the iBookstore. If customers using a desktop computer do not have iTunes installed, the iBookstore link takes them to the iTunes page on Apple’s website, where they can learn more about iTunes and download iTunes free of charge.
Linking to the iBookstore You must provide a link to your book on the iBookstore wherever the Download on the iBookstore badge is used on web pages or online communications. To obtain the URL for your book on the iBookstore, go to your product page in iTunes. Right-click or Control-click your book’s listing and choose Copy URL. Embed the URL in the iBookstore
If customers using an iOS device have the iBooks app installed, the iBookstore link takes them to the book’s page on the iBookstore. If customers using an iOS device do not have the iBooks app installed, the iBookstore link takes them to the iTunes Preview page, where they can learn more about the book, learn about the iBooks app, and get the app for their iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch free of charge. iBookstore Identity Guidelines

Promoting Your Books Basics When promoting your book in marketing communications, say that it is on or available on the iBookstore. For example, say “Book title on the iBookstore” or “Book title, available on the iBookstore.” It is also correct to say that your book can be downloaded from the iBookstore. Do not say “iBookstore Book title” or “iPad Book title.” When including a company name, lead with the company name followed by the book title and end with iBookstore. For example, it is correct to say “Publisher name Book title on the iBookstore.” Using the name iBookstore When using the name iBookstore in headlines or copy, always typeset iBookstore with a lowercase i and an uppercase B followed by lowercase letters. iBookstore begins with a lowercase i word in a sentence, paragraph, or title.
