SPACE EXPLORATIONS 1.1. Honeycomb

purpose becomes living space...

The concept was to understand space as a state of natural wei/ness of a being. Space becomes part of the evolution and growth of an organism. As the organism grows the space around it changes to satisfy the beings state. Ergo, space can be considered as an entity that surrounds a being and changes with it as it evolves. As a being, space becomes tangible after a process of development and progression. Starting from its smallest component growing into an evolved structure. The construction of space finds its limits in the organisms purpose. Therefore, space serves the organism and is controlled by it.

... Exploring possibilites

To understand a space"s smallest component can consecuently produce a much complex and evolved surrounding. In this case, the hexagon permits the union of modules in a natural and fluent manner;

letting space to grow towards the changing limits of the host.

Multiplicity of Growth

Hence, the structure has evolved into the limits of its purpose.

INSCTINCTIVE

Continuous geometric and photographyc exploration led to the discovery of different geometric expressions of space. The main goal was to use photography as a way of expressing contrary forces of constructivity from different models. Each model used different geometries, thus created singular forms of space.

As a condition, geometric shapes, like circles and triangles, can have similar geometric roots but present different forces of constructivity when creating space. Hence, the understanding of these forces leads towards the use of them as a tool to create divergent qualities in space.

As the construction of the models evolved, certain caracteristics of the circular forces started to present themselves. The language and forces of the circle grew towards a more organic and continual form of space.

Triangular geometry showed a progession that presented it self as an opposite force towards the circle.; having a more pugnacious behaviour towards space form. Utilizing photography as a tool to explore light and shade gave further understanding of the forces of each geometry.

OREAR OONSOIENOIA Y OULTURA El temor al uso de los sanitarios publicos queda sujeto a falta de cul'ura que existe ante tal elemento urbana. El publico debe de ser educado y acostumbrado.

After undergoing several polls, public opinion preceded three main issues against the use of public toilets: hygiene, privacy and safety; and of these three, hygiene was the top reason why people would not use such restrooms

Even though there's a degree of unconformity, the polls final result showed that in a group of 32 people, only 5 (12%) rejected 1dea of them usmg a publiC toilet. the

The lack of education and public consciense creates the improper use of toilets, and thus making the public feel insecure about turning such a private everyday space into a public element on the city's

Marginal camm!Jnities are full af underlying issues that push such societies away from the rest of the population. The relentless misbelieve of a better life creates a vicious circle inside this areas, causing desperate measures for the parties to survilie (drugs and violence).

Overcoming such state is a matter of com unity; to rely as a whole. Analysing the issues and planning a strategy to contain a d eventually remedy the entire area is the first step, for a changeover towards a better life.

A A.I.M.s Joints

AIM's can be constructed in different sizes, depending on their needs and the amount of 11shermen and boat traffic that they will serve. This is why the modules can be connected by one main center piece called the 'joint': Its mains purpose is to connect other AIM's. There are two types of 'joints~ Type A and Type B.
