At the Petaluma’s Bridgewater Mill on Saturday, 8 August 2009 a celebratory dinner and an evening of wonderful music with the Australian String Quartet (ASQ) was held to celebrate the start of two major ElectraNet projects that are significant milestones in South Australia’s infrastructure development. The two projects are the Adelaide Central Reinforcement (ACR) and Mount Barker South Injection. Both are fundamental to the continuing economic development of South Australia. ElectraNet invited key stakeholders for these projects to participate in this celebratory evening as without their support, it would not be possible for these two major projects to proceed in a timely manner. The ASQ played a selection from their current National Season 2009 Provenance Tour as ElectraNet is also a proud supporter of the ASQ who are now enjoying their twenty third year. The ASQ is the only full-time string quartet in Australia and is Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Adelaide and is unique in the Australian chamber music scene, world renown having won more international chamber music competitions that any other ensemble in Australian history.
