Bears for Buddies: Celebrity Charity Wishes Dear Charlottean/Business Owner,
Please allow me to say a word about a wonderful cause that has touched the hearts and minds of everyone who has become involved. It was started right here in the Queen City, and in just our first year, we’ve expanded to L.A., Atlanta and Miami. It’s a simple proposition. It is rewarding on so many levels: for you, your family and for the families that are struggling against childhood cancer. We deliver Teddy Bears—and smiles—to terminally-ill children. Can we count on you to provide a single bear for that one special child? If so, your contribution of $10 will do wonders. Celebrities from all walks of life, accompanied by our staff, will personally deliver your bear to a child and his/her family at the Ronald McDonald House or Levine’s Children’s Hospital here in Charlotte, North Carolina. To make your $10 donation visit www.Facebook.com/ProwlerMagazine and click on the Bears for Buddies tab. Your gift will be tracked and we will send you a photograph of the individual child who received your gift of a Teddy Bear and a smile. If you are so inclined, join Charlotte Prowler Magazine and nearly 100 other businesses including Blu Energy Drink, Wells Fargo, NASCAR, NFL Players Association, Toshiba, Charlotte Speed Arena Football, GoSocial Charlotte, Southern Sports Journal, Carolina Tire, ESPN Radio, McDonald’s, Pride Resort, Ben & Jerry’s, and EVCO Construction. Make your donation. Offer in-kind sponsorship of service or products, or share your time and volunteer. Join us this year as we expand from Charlotte and carry the message of goodwill, love and faith from the Queen City as far as we are able. On behalf of Prowler Magazine and all of the other businesses, business leaders and wonderful individuals involved, we invite you to become part of our family of Celebrity Charity Wishes. Please feel free to call me personally to discuss details of your involvement on any level. Best Regards, Randy Stimpson (Direct) 704-352-4280 Prowler Magazine, Charlotte, NC

Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte Since 1974, Ronald McDonald Houses have united in a common purpose – to offer hope, support and love to families struggling with children’s illness. The goal of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is to improve the health and well-being of nearly 3.7 million children worldwide every year – and it has indeed made a global impact. And while its approach is to think globally, RMHC acts locally by tailoring programs and services that address the most urgent needs of each community it serves. With a network of local chapters, like the one here in Charlotte, its core programs can be found in 52 countries and regions around the globe. Where there is a sick child who needs specific treatment at a children's medical facility, a Ronald McDonald House is open to welcome and comfort families in need. Families are stronger when they are together, which helps in the healing process. By staying at a Ronald McDonald House, parents can also better communicate with their child’s medical team, and keep up with complicated treatment plans as needed. Our primary goal at the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte is to provide families a safe, comfortable and supportive environment while their children receive medical treatment at nearby medical facilities.

Our Mission Celebrity Charity Wishes, Inc. is a national organization that grants love and wishes to terminally ill children with the help of celebrities and industry professionals. We strive to bring relief, happiness and smiles to terminally ill children and to educate the public on childhood illnesses. Our vision is to provide terminally ill children with a wish that’s attainable and make them feel like a star. We have the support of celebrities to help turn children’s dreams into reality. We also support the child’s family spiritual and provide them with the essentials necessary so they can focus their energy on their child. Celebrity Charity Wishes, Inc. will be a hub for helping terminally ill children and their parents to have hope and relieve some of the financial strain. Seeing a child suffer is the worst pain anyone can endure. We strive and work tirelessly to help lessen that pain. It is our goal to host a charitable benefit on a yearly basis in Charlotte and continue to service the children in this area who need love and wishes granted to them.
How We Got Started In 2009, a 15-year old teenager by the name of Brianna Watts began treatments for Osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Brianna made a wish list consisting of celebrities she wanted to meet and the things she wanted to accomplish in her lifetime. The founders of Celebrity Charity Wishes, Inc. received a phone call from Kim Patterson (Brianna’s Godmother). Ms. Patterson asked if we could help in granting some of Brianna’s wishes. We didn’t know how much time we were working with so immediately we reached out to some of our celebrity friends to help with this mission. Celebrity Charity Wishes teamed up with celebrity publicists in Atlanta, Georgia and Los Angeles California. Brianna was honored with 2 round-trip airfare tickets to Atlanta to be a “star for a weekend”. A Celebrity Fundraiser Dinner was hosted in honor of Brianna with a host of celebrities, 2 professional chefs prepared her favorite foods and she was presented with a host of special gifts. Brianna visited Grammy Nominated R&B Artist Ne-Yo at his studio. Also, she met Actor Boris Kodjoe, star of “Madea’s Family Reunion” and ended her weekend with another surprise visit from Mo’Nique, successful TV Host and Oscar Award Winning Actress from the movie “Precious”. Our little star, Brianna, was called home on February 12, 2010. We were touched by Brianna’s courage and so grateful for having a chance to help grant her wishes and it inspired us to create Celebrity Charity Wishes, Inc. We are committed to granting love and wishes to other terminally ill children and give them the chance to be a “star” for a weekend like Brianna.
In Loving Memory of Brianna Watts (4/4/1994 – 2/11/2010)
