Welcome to your CSYO!

I’m so pleased to welcome you to the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestras’ final concert of the season. As we bring this remarkable season to a close, we reflect upon the incredible growth and achievements of our talented young musicians.

The inspiring group of musicians you’ll hear today received guidance from our highly skilled conducting staff, including Resident Conductor Christopher James Lees, Katie Ebert, and Eric Thompson III; and from CSO musicians, who served as coaches. Guest artists performing with the Symphony, like this weekend’s soloist Alexi Kenney, offered master classes, giving students insights into the life of a professional musician and sharing new techniques to help students fine-tune their craft. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication.

I would like to express gratitude to the parents, families, and generous donors who have made all of this possible. Your support is vital to nurturing the future of music in our community.
