For me, this year is less about of-the-moment fashion pieces and more about closet staples I can wear throughout the year along with functional things I'll actually use. All of the items in the next few pages are essentials that I wear or use regularly. Everything you'll see here gets my editor approval since I personally own each and every one!

EVERLANE HIGH RISE SKINNY JEANS There's nothing like a pair of great-fitting skinny jeans. These high rise jeans have just the right amount of stretch while holidng you in, and the dark blue wash is super versatile. I love Everlane jeans; these are under $100 so budget-friendly, too!
VEJA SNEAKERS I am on my second pair of Veja sneakers. They are the perfect white minimal sneaker to wear with everything from leggings and jeans to dresses and skirts. Nicer than a pair of Keds, without a designer price tag. EVERLANE 90S CHEEKY STRAIGHT LEG JEANS Only $78! Levi's never seem to work for me. These are similar to their 501 style but actually fit. I love that Everlane also offers ankle lengths for people who aren't model height. 2021 DAY PLANNER As someone who has worked from home prior to this pandemic, I have learned that a spacious planner is absolutely key to keep your days and weeks on track.
MADEWELL ZIP TOP TOTE Madewell makes a handful of variations of their "Transport Tote" but I prefer this because of the zip top. I bought this last December for London so that I could carry my belongings and souvenirs without worrying about an open top. BERNARDO BLACK LEATHER JACKET Bernardo is one of my go-to outerwear brands. Everyone needs a black leather jacket. It instantly adds an effortless edge. Real leather jackets are more expensive than faux one, but they last way longer. EBERYJEY PAJAMAS These drapey pajamas are so soft, it's like you're wearing clouds. I love the classic pants and button up look; these pajamas will never go out of style. FREE PEOPLE TUNIC This U-neck, cozy sweater is the perfect length to cover your bum when you're wearing leggings. Not
itchy at all, and perfectly oversized. APL SNEAKERS It-girl athletic shoes. If wearing matching sweat sets has taught me anything this year, it's that you also need cool sneakers. I love APL. They are my go-to travel shoe. I have
maybe 5 pairs now! MADEWELL BELGRAVE SUNGLASSES I must have sunglasses whenever it's sunny, even in the winter. Tortoise print goes with everything! Plus they're under $100.

ANINE BING GRAPHIC TEE A leather jacket, jeans, and a graphic tee is always a fail-proof chic outfit. Anine Bing makes my favorite graphic tees. They're perfectly oversized and not your normal Guns 'n' Roses band tee. YETI INSULATED TUMBLER I know this seems random, and it kind of is. However, as someone who is always trying to be better about hydrating (still working on it) this cup is always by my side. It's large enough to cut down on refills, but also keeps contents cold.
MARC FISHER OSHAY BOOTIE This bootie comes in multiple colors, but the Cloud Suede shade is a perfect neutral to match with brown tones. Elastic goring makes these easy to take on and off, and I love a block heel for added comfort. MADEWELL DENIM JACKET Not too oversizerd or fitted, I genuinely think this may be one of the best denim jackets out there. It's not overly long or cropped either, so rest assured this jacket will stay in a closet for years to come.
DAGNE DOVER LARGE LANDON BAG This is the perfect size duffel bag for weekend trips. Multiple inside pocket and a clip to prevent keys from getting lost are thoughtful and
functional details. GHD PLATINUM PLUS FLAT IRON This flat iron is what I use every time I style my hair. It heats up in 20 seconds, chimes when ready, and has special tehcnology to automatically adjust the heat as you run through your hair to prevent damage and overheating.
FLANNEL PRINTED PAJAMAS I love a set of Christmas jammies, but the problem with gifting them is that their lifespan of wear is pretty mimimal since most people don't wear Christmas PJs after Christmas. Instead, try a pair of generic printed flannel pajamas that someone can wear all winter. I'm of course partial to these NYC jammies, but other prints are available, too!
