School /An Extended Neighbourhood Dahanu,Veti Village
School as a neighbourhood allowing transgressions and multiple affordances. Here school is imagined as an extension to the village. It is imagined to be a boundless space with blurred thresholds of inside and the outside.School thus allows for differential appropriations through the day and the night. postcard of elements for crafting boundless space
The intent of the project was to maximise interaction between the neighbourhood and the school ,enabling a porous connection for the villagers to hold various communal activities at several junctions on site .The school is imagined as a boundless space ,an attempt to dismantle the idea of a container space and to rethink architectural type of a contained space by working with individual architectural elements to craft spaces .The material and passive strategies for the builtform are thought of ,considering the climate and terrain of the site for minimum ground modulation .The bamboo

irrigation system helps in ground water recharge and works as a water harvesting system.

The Enliven New Orleans,Architecture of the Abondoned
The Six Flags New Orleans amusement park, which has stood corroding in New Orleans East since it was flooded during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, it’s one of the most iconic locations to connoisseurs of ghostly abandoned landmarks. Walking into the site it is an eerie experience. The scent of cotton candy and the sounds of laughter were gone. Entre park Six Flags Amusement Park
Placing the Ferris wheel horizontally
is now filled with trees all over, as nature has taken over it. The house is located in the Central lake, floating on the water, ever-rotating with splendid 360 views of the amusement park. A sunken Dias, floating on the water surface acts as a mirror to the sky by calming the waters to a perfect plane. The

family is transported to the memory of the park, floating between the clouds and the sun. The carousel in the centre acts as a structural core which lifts the entire Ferris wheel. The fenestrations and railings are made with the tracks from the roller coaster. Here, the once abandoned carousel has been revived back its joy and it sets the still Ferris wheel in motion all over again, bringing back the

Eliciting Nostalgia/Old age home Eksar road ,Borivali
The studio started with understanding the complex relationship of the urban form, resource consumption and the idea of home for an aged person. By listing trigger words, forming mind maps, narrative drawings and data analysis; multiple entry points were discovered. This data then postcard exploring various openings and textures for the old age home.
began to address resources and how one can incorporate these understandings into their architectural designs. Through various illustrations, sketches and physical models the spatial ideas for the designs were conceptualized where we explored how the ‘soul’ of the building can merge with resource management. Questions like ‘How architecture

can afford celebration of a resource?’, ‘How an aged body moves through the space?’ and ‘How the space can cater to the inevitable events of aging and the rise in the population of senior citizens?’ formed the lens or the framework of these interventions.

FORM EVOLUTION FORM
Morocco is known for its manufacturing and crafting of unique patterned ceramic tiles.Casablanca being the main hub for its production, the L -shaped site is located in the centre of the city. The maker’s space involves two halls, one assigned for the tile maufacturing process and the other assigned for the exhibition of these tiles and other ceramic crafts. The context of the site consists of reidential buildings situated at a wide offset with the site.

Origami Pavillion Dadar,design school detail
The intent of the design was to create a series of pavilions, using biomaterial for the structure skeleton ,in this case timber ,which has low embodied energy .The form of the roof is designed such ,that provides an experience to the users of - water flowing through the transparent undulating roof , producing soothing sounds during rains. Prefabricated timber is assembled at the site using nut bolts joineries for easy maintenance of the frame structure and thus providing modularity for replacements in future .The design incorporates concrete structure for fire resistant staircases and for services .Various skylights throughout the roof and a central courtyard acting as a light well ,ensures maximum daylight in each rooms .The glass walls are tilted at an angle to create balconies outside the rooms and pockets of interaction in the interior of the rooms . The form of the roof is derived from the undulating form of the walls itself .

House Of Arches,Flood Relief Centre Kandivali,Mumbai
The studio addressed the need for a “Rescue cum Community Center’ for Sunderpada settlement, Kandivali, a flood prone area adjacent to Poisar river, now a Nallah. The floods of 26th July 2005 became the rationale for the project. Managing wetness is to respond to the flooding conditions of rains, humidity in the builtform as well as managing the water flow in the structure. Lightness responds to either one or all of the following: visual expression, dismantability, seismic efficiency and cost efficiency as well as the structure being light and immediate. The rescue centre being the primary function also acts as a community centre or resilience centre for the rest of the time of the year. While construction was the main objective of the module, it also focused on non-physical aspects as well. Alongside the articulation of terrain, spaces, materiality and programme, in depth observations of fluctuating water levels alongside narrow site accesses and temporality of structure helped to further contextualise these built forms.
