How can Document Direct help you? Document Direct provides a 24/7 typing and document production service that can be easily integrated with your existing dictation system. We can also provide (free of charge) a dictation app for your dedicated use. We support over 350 law firms in the UK and Ireland and beyond, delivering a secure cloud-based online service. Our typists Our team of over 200 registered typists works remotely in a secure digital environment. Confidentiality and security are an absolute focus. All of our typists allocated to legal clients have significant legal sector experience.

What we do (in detail) Audio transcription (dictation) service: All of your typing output including letters, contracts, file notes, memos, and email narratives. Reports such as Lease Reports and Surveyors' Reports. Court documents (pleadings) and standard court forms (eg: Land Registry/Family Law/County Court). Barristers' Advice, Opinions, and draft pleadings. Transcripts of multi-speaker recordings meetings/conferences, interviews, focus groups, telephone conversations, and court hearings. Zoom and Teams meetings can be transcribed with optional subtitles on recordings.

24/7 (including evenings and weekends) with a full 24-hour helpdesk and support. 11


How easy is it to submit a job for typing? Document Direct works in very much the same way as sending dictations to your own secretary either via your existing digital dictation system or via the Document Direct Smartphone App. Our App provides the mobility to dictate wherever you are and send your dictations directly to Document Direct.

All files and data are received and returned in a totally secure and confidential digital environment

Your dictation will be completed on your firm’s templates and in your house style. Your documents will either be returned to your designated email address(es) or saved directly to your document management system.

Working in your systems Many firms further streamline the process by granting us permission to return work directly into their case and document management systems. We have experience operating in almost every CMS and DMS on the market. This delivers even greater efficiency and cost-savings to your firm.

What else do we do? Document Production Specialists (DPS Team): Complete document formatting (or re-formatting into housestyle) to include advanced functions such as tables of contents, cross-referencing, page numbering, headers, and footers, etc. Copy typing (both handwritten notes and printed text). PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets. Amendments to documents from PDF manuscript mark-ups. Conversion of PDFs to Word/Excel/PowerPoint. Manipulation of PDFs (splitting, moving/deleting pages, redacting text, etc). Retyping of old documents, such as leases and wills, that need updating. 14


How easy is it to send work to our DPS team? Email our Document Production Specialists team with your instructions and the required timeframe for completion of the work, together with the relevant attachments and an indication of your deadline. Our DPS team will acknowledge receipt and confirm that the specified deadline can be met and keep you informed as to progress. They then meet your deadline with exactly what you require.
