COMMUNICATING WITH YOUR SUPPLY CHAIN BEFORE A NO-DEAL BREXIT Communicate with your suppliers to find out what vulnerabilities you may be exposed to. You need to know if one of your key suppliers is about to face difficulties.
Send your suppliers a positive message about your own business – that you’re very much open for business; to discuss any issues your suppliers may be facing and that they can have confidence in you.
Engage staff and stakeholders in developing plans being put in place across your organisation and your supply chain partners. Communicate key points regularly and seek feedback to update messages. Plan for a range of different scenarios to reduce risk and look longer term.
Look to the long term. As well as addressing the now, it is essential that businesses present a clear vision of the future for staff and suppliers– what will tomorrow look like and how will it be different for those involved?
Make sure you always clearly communicate any change to staff – if they don’t hear directly from you, they will fill the void themselves and may well assume, and relay, the worst.
