Did you know fall is the best time to plant those shrubs? Plants and trees begin to become dormant in the fall, which can make it a great time to plant because instead of the energy being spent on growing foliage, your tree can spend its energy on root establishment. Here are a few advantages of fall planting.
Fewer Watering Requirements
Less Stress on the Tree
Warm Soil
Usually, in the fall we have more rain, which means lower watering maintenance. Plus, the weather is cooler and the days are shorter so when they are watered the moisture doesn’t evaporate nearly as quick.
The fall can be a lot less stressful on plants. The heat of summer is over, so they don’t use their energy growing foliage or new branches. They can simply begin establishing roots.
The warm soil makes it easier and less work for the tree. Warmer soil allows the tree to successfully establish its roots and gain some nutrients before going dormant when it gets cold.
Parents have rightfully become more health conscious. Artificial dyes and sugars have been linked to many health issues in kids. Here are some dye-free and organic alternatives!

REASONS WHY YOUR HOME ISN’T
selling
PRESENTATION
PRICE The most common reason why your home may not be selling is pricing. If your house is priced too high, buyers will move on to other options or wait for a price reduction to move. This is normally the number one reason why a home accumulates days on the market.
The first impression is TRULY everything! With a poor online presentation, potential buyers may be overlooking your home and scrolling to the next.Buyers often make up their minds about a house within minutes of seeing the interior and exterior. Once they drive up and step in, be sure your home is completely showing ready. It may detour buyers because it can be difficult for them to picture the home to suit their wants and needs.
MARKETING The days are over when agents take cell phone pictures and list your home on the MLS. Get an agent that correctly markets your home. Sending mailers out to potential buyers and neighbors in the area. Utilizing the power of social media and targeted ads, frequent email blasts, mixed with local print to get as much traction as possible!

INSPECT YOUR HOME’S EXTERIOR Winter weather, growing tree roots, and creeping faults can cause damage when you’re not looking. Start by searching for cracks in the concrete around your home, including on the driveway. Check for water pooling around the foundation as well. Any issues you find should be dealt with immediately. HEAD ONTO THE ROOF Inspect your roof for signs of loose or broken shingles, even if you’re not experiencing leaks in your home. Also look at the chimney for signs of wear and plan to have a cleaning and inspection done once the weather warms up. TREE HEALTH INSPECTION If you’re lucky enough to have large, mature trees on your property, have them inspected by a certified arborist. They will check for signs of illness or dead branches, and catch problems before they escalate and kill a tree. A dead or dying tree poses a safety hazard to you, your home, and neighboring properties.
DIY Fall WREATHS Dried Fruit Dehydrate some fruit to add a fresh look to your wreaths you already have! I love doing this with faux green wreaths to make it look more lively and real!
Feathers Gather some from your local hunter, or from your chickens during molting season (like I do!) You can use them as accents or make a whole wreath out of them!
Cotton & Olive Branches This one can also be done from your yard! Forage some olive branches and cotton and you’re done! So easy but yet timeless looking! I love the monochromatic look if you have a fun or stately colored door!
