Specifications: Stables The Value Range

The Clipper Range

Wall Construction

Walls are built with 75mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Wall Cladding

Selected high quality Shiplap boarding, pressure impregnated with Tanalith E™ to ensure a long maintenancefree life. Weatherboard is available as an option. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. One clear roof sheet is fitted to each Stable, Corner Unit and Tack Room. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles.

Doors

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 50mm thick, (6’10”high, 4’wide, 2”thick) Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty OS Board. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chewstrips are fitted to the top of the lower door. All door fittings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 450mm (18”) heavy tee hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top door. Tack Room doors are ledged and braced and fitted with a 200mm (8”) pad bolt.

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 50mm thick, (6’10” high, 4’ wide, 2” thick). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty, moisture resistant kickboard. A fully opening 740mm x 740mm (29” x 29”) Perspex window, protected by a metal grille is standard to each Loose Box. Other windows are available on request.

Kickboards

Loose Boxes are lined to 1200mm (4’) with 11mm OS Board and can be fully lined to eaves if required. Tack Rooms and Hay Stores are not lined as standard but can be lined if required.

Guttering

Half round, black guttering and downpipe is fitted to the front of all units. Rear guttering is available on request.

Height

To eaves, measures 2235mm (7’4”) and to ridge 2845mm (9’4”), including brickwork.

Talk Grilles

Can be fitted between Loose Boxes as an option.

Barge Boards

All in pressure impregnated, prepared timber, fixed with rust resisting nails.

Timber Treatment

All exterior timber is pressure treated with Tanalith™ E wood preservative.

The Chester Range

Wall Construction

Walls are built with 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) timber framing, spaced at 600mm (2’) centres.

Roof Construction

Purlins are 125mm x 50mm (5” x 2”) spaced at 600mm (2’) centres, held in place by joist holders on prefabricated trusses, then covered with black Onduline roof sheeting. A clear roof sheet is included in each Loose Box. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles. Roof construction can also be altered to accept traditional clay, concrete or slate tiles.

Doors

Stable doors are 2085mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (6’ 10” high, 4’ wide, 2 ¾” thick). Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty, moisture resistant kickboard. Top doors are ledged and braced. Anti-chewstrips are fitted to the top door surround and to the top of the lower door, extending down to 380mm (15”) at the front. All door fittings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) heavy tee hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy duty kickbolts and a cabin hook to the top door. Tack Room doors are ledged and braced, fitted with 600mm (24”) hinges and a 200mm (8”) pad bolt.

Stable doors are 2235mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (7’ 4” high, 4’ wide, 2¾” thick) set in a pressure impregnated frame measuring 100mm x 75mm (4” x 3”) with rounded edges. Bottom doors are lined with 18mm (¾”) heavy duty plyboard. Top doors are ledged and braced with additional vertical bracing to the leading edge, and can be fully lined if preferred. Anti-chewstrips are fitted to the complete door frame, top door leading edge and the top of the lower door, extending down to 380mm (15”) at the front. All door fittings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) reversible hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, heavy duty kickbolts and cabin hooks. Tack Room doors are framed, ledged and braced with a plyboard internal lining and set in a frame identical to the stable door. A brass Yale security lock is included.

Windows

A two bladed louvre window with a fixed lower section measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” x 36”) is fitted to all Loose Boxes. A heavy duty metal grille with 12mm (½”) solid bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres is fitted to the rear.

Six bladed louvre windows are fitted to all Loose Boxes and are fully adjustable from the outside, measuring 533mm x 915mm (21” wide x 36” high). A heavy duty grille with 12mm (½”) solid metal bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres is fitted to the rear. Windows can be positioned to suit individual requirements. A clear roof sheet is also included in each stall. Optional roof finishes include coloured Onduline, felt or felt tiles.

Internal Sections

Internal panels are timber framed using 100mm x 50mm (4” x 2”) and are kickboard lined to 1200mm (4’). Heavy duty metal grilles with solid 12mm (½”) bars are fitted above. Internal panels are 2.2m (86⅝”) high.

Internal panels are metal framed, the lower section is infilled with 42mm softwood to 1200m (4’) and the upper section is constructed using 20mm hollow steel bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres. Dividing panels can be infilled to eaves height if required. Panel height 2200 mm (86⅝”). Reconstituted plastic infills are available as an option.

Victorian style internal panels are metal framed, with 20mm hollow steel bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres. 42mm hardwood is used to infill the lower section to 1200mm (48”). Dividing panels can be infilled to eaves height 2200mm (86⅝”) if required. Reconstituted plastic infills are available as an option.

Doors

A side-hinged lower stable door 1320mm high, 1200mm wide, 70mm thick (52” x 48” x 2¾”) are fitted. Doors are faced with shiplap and kickboard is fitted to the rear. Anti-chewstrips are fitted to the top door surround and to the top of the door extending 380mm (15”) at the front. All door fittings are heavy duty and galvanised, to include 600mm (24”) tee hinges, 200mm (8”) pad bolts, kickbolts and a cabin hook. A sliding door measuring 2400mm (8’) wide is fitted to the front of the building. Top doors can be fitted to the rear of each stall as an option.

Sliding stable doors are 2100mm high x 1280mm wide, the lower section is infilled with 42mm softwood timber and measures 1280mm x 1280mm (503⁄8” x 503⁄8”). The top section measures 820mm x 1280mm (32¼” x 503⁄8”) and incorporates an opening section measuring 560mm x 760mm (22” x 30”). 20mm hollow steel bars are spaced at 75mm (3”) centres. A sliding door measuring 2400mm (8’) wide x 2100mm (7’) high is fitted to the front of the building. Top doors can be fitted to the rear of each stall as an option.

Lower stables doors are 1450mm x 1120mm (57” x 44”) and are infilled with 42mm hardwood timber to 1245mm (49”), 20mm hollow steel bars spaced at 75mm (3”) centres are fitted above. A sliding door measuring 2400mm (8’) wide x 2234mm (7’4”) high is fitted to the front of the building. Top doors can be fitted to the rear of each stall as an option.

Specifications & Prices: Oﬃces Bespoke Office Buildings Wall Construction

Walls are built with 125mm x 50mm (5” x 2”) timber framing at 450mm (16”) centres, and are diagonally braced.

Wall Cladding

Selected high quality Shiplap, Weatherboard or Loglap, pressure impregnated Tanalith E™ to ensure a long maintenance free life. Cedar is available as an option. All boarding is fixed with rust resisting nails.

Wall Lining

Reinforced moisture resistant bitumen impregnated lining paper to BS 1521 (120gsm) grade is placed between the studwork and cladding. Walls are then insulated with Rockwool or Cellotex.

Roof Construction

A trussed roof designed by a specialist roof company to comply with Building Regulations will be fitted. The roof space will be fully insulated with Rockwool or Cellotex. Choices of roof finishes are available and include clay or slate tiles, cedar shingles, or felt tiles.

Doors

A range of hardwood or softwood, entrance, patio or French doors are available. A selection can be found on page 44 of our brochure. For other options please discuss your requirements with us.

Windows

We are able to offer an extensive range of double glazed casement windows. Please discuss your requirements with us.

Height

To eaves 2337mm (7’8”).The overall height of the building will vary depending on the pitch of roof.

Interiors

Interiors are either dry lined or conventionally plastered and decorated to a colour of your choice. Skirtings, architraves and window sills are all included.

Guttering

Black 100mm (4”) half round guttering and down pipes are fitted.

Floors

Floors are manufactured using 200mm x 50mm (8” x 2”) timbers, fully insulated with 150mm (6”) of insulation and boarded with 22mm (⅞”) tongue and grooved floor board.

Timber Treatment

All timber is pressure treated with Tanalith™ E excluding purlins, joinery grade doors and windows.

Electronics

All electrical works are carried out to the highest standard and include a generous amount of sockets and lights.

Exteriors

The exterior can be stained to a colour of your choice.
