Published prices are your net cost F.O.B. Secaucus New Jersey
Orders are shipped prepaid freight. All handling charges and applicable sales tax will be added to your invoice.
Reserves
Reserves may be placed to hold product for a maximum of one week pending a future order.
Terms of Sale
Terms of sale are Net 30, but subject to approval by our Designtex Credit Department
Applicable sales taxes are charged based on final destination of the product and a resale/exempt certificate is on file for said state.
Cancellations cannot be accepted if your order has been cut or shipped
Certain products are sold on a non-cancelable, non-returnable basis. Please contact your sales representative if you need clarification.
Overages of 10-20% are applicable on all custom product, non-supported product and orders that are processed with Performance Enhancement treatments
A standard 35% restocking charge will be applicable to all cancellations and returns. See more information under “returns”. See more information under “returns”
It is against Designtex policy to accept claims for any labor charges
It is the customer’s responsibility to determine code compliance confirmation if a product is ultimately used in a way other than it was originally intended by Designtex (i.e. upholstery fabric used as a wallcovering).
Discontinued Products
Discontinued patterns may be available for immediate shipment or may be ordered if appropriate minimums are met and the construction is still available

No returns will be accepted on discontinued or non-supported products
Returns
All request for return authorization should be directed to your Designtex Sales Representative
No returns will be accepted without a written authorization

Requests for returns must be received within 30 days of the invoice/ship date
No returns will be accepted without the appropriate Designtex return authorization number
Claims will not be accepted on any merchandise that has been cut or processed in any way by the purchaser or purchaser’s agent
Claims for reasons other than Designtex’s responsibility, if accepted, are subject to a 35% restocking fee plus freight and handling to return. The party returning the product is responsible for arranging the return.
Credit of any claim will not be issued unless the product is received within 30 days of the return authorization. Credit will be applied to customer’s account.
Designtex Leather orders are non-cancelable and cannot be returned
Wallcovering: only full uncut rolls will be considered for return and credit
Textiles: under no circumstances will cuts of less than 10 yards be accepted for return
Product Applications and Performance Product Assurance
Every contract product by Designtex is produced to meet or exceed Association for Contract Textiles (ACT) quality and performance standards.
All products are inspected prior to shipment, assuring you the highest quality. All shipments should be carefully examined before cutting to verify correct color and pattern.
Slight variations in color and repeat may occur as no two dye lots or weavings are exactly the same. All Designtex products are matched to commercial standards.
Should you desire, cuttings can be made available for your approval on standard product prior to shipping. Request a Cutting for Approval (CFA) from our service/support team at 800.221.1540.
ACT PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES Designtex is a member of the Association for Contract Textiles (ACT). This organization produces the ACT Textile Performance Guidelines, which is available for your use and fully explains the tests and minimum guidelines for each of the symbols below:
fire retardancy, abrasion for commercial environments, colorfastness to light, colorfastness to wet & dry crocking & physical properties
Look for these symbols on the back of our sampling to assure that the products you specify perform to contract standards, and pass all applicable testing.
