LIGHT SCULPTURE

SIAM CENTER ILLUMINATION CELLEBRATION CONTEST 1st RUNNER UP PRIZE



This project was part of a competition organized by Siam Center, a famous shopping mall located in Bangkok. The purpose of this contest is to created “Illumination & Celebration” light sculpture. Our main idea is “The universal celebration” where everyone is reunited. Completely connected surfaces forming the 3D triangular form, representing the endless relations around the universe. Transparent wires were affected by the hidden black light sources within the sculpture represents the connection. The laser projection and the smoke created a scenes of emptiness as if you’re in the galaxy. By Chattarika C. / Chalath N. / Sirirassa P.

ANCIENT SIAM PAVILION

TROPICAL ARCHITECTURE DESIGN PROJECT



The Tropical Architecture course design project located in Ancient Siam, Samut Prakarn. The idea was brought by the owner who needed a pavilion to accommodate some special guest. The pavilion design concentrated on freedom of architectural elements.Our team focuses on Thai traditional sliding wall to create a flexible space pavilion, adaptable Thai vernacular dwelling. We also concern about the aesthetic of joint and construction combine with Tradition and modern materials. BUS TERMINAL

SOUTHERN BUS STATION AT VIENTIANE



Vientiane Southern Bus Station project located in Vientiane, Laos. The purpose of this project is to accommodate the passengers that’s keep increasing throughout the year. The main idea is to create a space that could accommodate the flow of people. By using simple truss curve roof to form a flow of space. On the other hand louver façade makes flow of ventilation. Also the usage of linear planning helps create flow of circulation. Therefore the name for this project is called “ The Flow ”.

HUAI NAM KUEN SCHOOL

BOARDER PATROL PRIMARY SCHOOL



This project is for boarder patrol primary school for students in Chiang Rai, northern of Thailand. The location of this site was on a steep hill surrounded by some small villages. Considered as a school in outlying area, not only students and teachers took part in school but also the villagers around. It becomes part of the community. The zoning was classified by the privacy of each area which separate into 3 sections. The first section connected to outside area is for the cooperative, which the villagers can join. The second section is for activities including multifunctional area, field, library and also teachers’ room. The last section is for the classrooms that connected to vegetation field directly. This will make students have responsible by taking care of their field and seeing essential of agriculture.

GUEST HOUSE

RESIDENTAL ARCHITECTURE EXPERIMENTAL PROJECT



The experimental project for Residential Architecture course focuses on using system to create an architecture. By using system we still considered space, function, natural lighting and other criteria. Analyzing Thai house, we’ve learned about the scale and space. Therefore we start experimenting about rhythm and transforms it into wall patterns and floor patterns. After selecting the most suitable pattern we added some additional walls and floors to make it more functional for a Hostel. KINFOLK

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE DESIGN PROJECT



For Introduction to Interior Architecture course, the assignment is to design a web design office for kinfolk fashion magazine. The office included manager, reception, web designers, advertising account executives, admissions and accountants. Kinfolk is a slow lifestyle magazine that explore ways for readers to simplify their lives, cultivate community and spend more time with their friends and family. The main idea is to create a work space the benefits this term of lifestyle and also working environment the most. Natural lighting and also environment is important for this type of work space. The material that we use also draw the senses of nature. Using free plan to connect the staffs and also to create a relaxing space for creativity.

PINK PARK VILLAGE

HOLISTIC CARE CENTRE FOR BREAST CANCER



This project is Thailand’s first and only non-profit holistic care centre for breast cancer patients called “Pink Park Village” where there will be hospice and convalescence home for the most underprivileged, day care & activity centre for breast cancer patients and learning & training centre for all. It located at donated land Minburi which surrounded by rice fields. The purpose of this project is to create an architectural healing environment for the patients.The idea of this project is to “shift”, to bring nature into the space and also activities area for the patients. Circadian design also has influences in this project to benefits the patient in a natural way including natural lighting.

SUKHOTHAI CITY HOTEL HIGH-RISE HOTEL



This City hotel project located on Srinakarin Road in Bangkok. In the future this area population will be increasing after the BTS sky train finish. Concerning about future extension, using a compact footprint is one of the solution. The design idea comes from the traditional Thai housing by using the proportion, planning and also the idea of living with water to create a specific space. However City hotel should have an image of something up-to-date by using materials that represent modern era.
