Software Defined Storage (SDS) Administration Aim of this project is to evaluate and investigate the challenges, benefits, procedures, administrative policies, guidelines, services and limitations with the administration of Software Defined Storage (SDS). SDS is an integral part of cloud based Software Defined Networks (SDNs) and these are primarily used to reduce the cost of storage and improve the performance of databases and metadata management. Apart from the benefits with the cloud based environments, there are many potential challenges in the form of administration and to meet the demand from vendor specific and software specific storage services. Thus the main attributes and procedures enabled for SDS administration are discussed in detail and the based on the key findings, the problem with the traditional storage services and the solutions provided by the SDS are studied in detail. Challenges of SDS administration process are reviewed along with the feasible benefits and the limitations to the existing SDS administration procedures. Future scope of the research is also provided at a glance and the detailed discussion is as provided
