It has a long history of producing quality products hence building customer trust. The company also benefits from endorsement by numerous celebrities, hence underlining its position as a high end brand. In addition to these, the company has developed a trademark check- design which is easily recognizable. Weaknesses The company has been a victim of being associated with football hooliganism as will be discussed later in the paper. In addition to that, the high cost of its goods makes it miss out on a large market of a rising middle class. This tends to put a cap on its profit margins. Opportunities The company’s weaknesses lie in expanding its market reach by opening up new retail stores around the world, especially in emerging markets. Additionally, increasing its product portfolio would help it introduce new products which are more affordable to the middle class. In addition, the rising global interest in fashion trend with the advent of social networks is bound to increase the company’s profits. Threats
The company faces a fair share of threats, most important of these being the recent economic recession which affected the purchasing power of its clients. In addition, there is a lingering threat of being associated with violence. Competition from other established brands like Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, etcetera, means the company has to continually find ways of remaining relevant.
