Introduction • First founded in 1937, APSC or Assam Public Service Commission is a local government body for employing individuals who might possess the required skill and have the abilities to handle the job. The APSC CCE is conducted with the same purpose. It assists in the selection of the suitable candidates for suitable positions across various posts. • APSC CCE is merely the first step in the process of selection of the suitable candidate. The candidates have to go through several stages in order to get selected. APSC candidates have to appear for both Prelims and Mains Exam in order to clear the APSC CCE. However, the prelims of APSC CCE are also given for jobs such as Police service. • The chairman of APSC is Rajiv Kumar Bora who is a retired IAS officer and the headquarters of the Assam Public Service Commissions are located in Guwahati. The APSC Prelims Exam is held across 31 districts of Assam and the candidates have the option to choose the district which is the most preferable to them. The Mains Exam is conducted solely in Guwahati.


APSC Exam Eligibility Criteria • There are certain requirements that are required to be met by the applicant in order to appear for the APSC CCE which are as following:• Academic Criteria • Any graduation degree from a recognized college or University will be taken into consideration. If you are a candidate whose results have not been announced prior to the last date of form submission, you will not be eligible to apply. • Nationality • The APSC CCE is allowed only for the citizens of India.

• Age Criteria • The candidates must fall under the age group of 21 to 38 years old. However, there are some exception for the reserved category candidate which is 3 years and 5 years relaxation beyond the age of 38 for OBC and SC/ST category respectively.

Your English and Interpersonal skills and various concepts of logical reasoning and Data Interpretation will also come under the syllabus. For the Mains Exam, once again it will cover the History and the culture of the country and geography all across the globe. The second part will cover the civics portion which will be testing your awareness regarding the current and the past political scenarios. The third paper of the Mains exam covers the Technological advancement, economic development and environmental awareness. And, the fourth and the final section of the Mains Exam cover the topics like ethics, integrity, values and personality, which is once again a very important part of working in Civil Services. And you need to make sure that your preparation with the respective topics focuses more on Assam because the exam you are preparing for is APSC.

APSC Exam Admit Card • Here, we are going to have a detailed discussion about the APSC CCE Admit Card which is the most important document on the date of your exam. You simply have to visit the official APSC portal and then you are required to search for “Writing/ Screening Tests Results” and after that you have to select the APSC CCE results and you will be redirected to another page where you have to enter the “Registration number, password, DOB and finally submit it to get your results. You can print the result if you want which will be useful to you when you proceed towards the further process if you are selected.

You can follow the steps given below in order to view the Mains Results of APSC CCE:• Visit the official APSC website • Go to the official website of APSC by searching for it in your browser or clicking on the link below:• http://apsc.nic.in/ • Writing/Screening Test Results • In the left side of the screen, you will find various options and you are required to click on “Writing/Screening Test Results”. • APSC CCE Mains Result • Click on the APSC CCE Mains Result for the particular year that you want. You will be redirected to another page. • Enter your details • In this page, you will have to enter your Registration number, DOB and password, and finally click on the Submit button and your Results will be displayed on the screen.


How To Apply? • Go to the official APSC website • First and foremost, you are required to go to the official website of APSC. In order to do so, you can either search for APSC CCE on Google or any of your preferred browser, or you can click on the link given below:• http://apsc.nic.in/ • Online Recruitment Link • After visiting the official APSC website, go to the online recruitment link and it will redirect you to another paged where you can find the Registration link. Click on the link to proceed with your registration process. • Enter the required details • You have to fill in the required information like your name, e-mail Id, password, contact number and click on “Generate OTP”. Finally, enter the OTP which you must have received in your contact number and then, enter the CAPTCHA and finally click on “Submit”. With this, you registration process is over and you can login to start filling the application form. • Login to APSC account • Now, you are required to login to your account using your e-mail ID and password and click on the Login button.


How To Apply? • Fill the Application form • Once you have logged in, go to the “Apply Now” button and proceed with the application form of APSC CCE. Now, you are required to fill in all the necessary details and upload all the necessary documents. • Payment of Application Fees • You are also required to pay the application fees depending upon the category that you belong to. You can pay the application fees through the various online modes of payment available in the APSC portal. Finally, click on “Submit” to submit the form.


Important FAQ Q1 Is a person who is in their Final Year of Graduation eligible for the APSC CCE? No, a person in their last year cannot apply; you are required to have the degree with you before the deadline in order to be eligible for the APSC CCE. Q.2 What is the procedure to recover my forgotten password? In case you have forgotten your password which you have created while registering for APSC CCE, you can go to the link for “Forgot Password’ which is in the login page, next, you will receive an OTP in the registered mobile number which will help you retrieve your password. Q.3 When will the process of application start and when will it end? The application process started on 10th September, 2020 and the last date was 25th October, 2020. Q.4 What is the total number of vacancies for APSC CCE 2020? The total number of vacancies which were open for APSC CCE 2020 are about 330 positions for various fields. Q.5 What are the various rounds of the APSC CCE? The candidates who have applied for the APSC CCE have to go through 3 rounds and clear all of them in order to be selected. The first is Prelims, the seconds is the Mains round and the final round is the Interview round, on the basis of all of these rounds, it is decided whether the candidate is selected or rejected for a particular position. Q.6 Are the marks obtained by candidates in Prelims of APSC CCE considered in the Mains Exam? No, the Prelims exam is for the sole purpose of short listing of the candidates. It is not considered for your Mains Result. Q.7 How do I get access to the admit card for APSC CCE? In order to download your admit card, you are required to go to the official APSC website and you have to download it when the link for the same is available.
