Introduction The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is a government autonomous body that conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission in B Tech, UG, and PG courses offered by the University. CUSAT CAT is the exam organized annually by Cochin University of Science and Technology. It annually conducts the exam also on Lateral Entry Test (LET) and Departmental Admission Test (DAT). The exam is conducted in online mode. Candidates who want to participate in the 2021 exam must fill CAT 2021 application form if they meet the eligibility criteria. The application form was filled online on the official website of CUSAT. The CUSAT has conducted the CAT 2021 for candidates on July 21 successfully. Admission was available into various courses following, B Tech, M Phil, M Vocation, MCA, B.A, LLB, LLM, and other programs. Counselling will be conducted for admissions through the CUSAT CAT exam for which a rank list has been released.

CUSAT Eligibility Criteria Nationality Candidates who are Indian Nationals are eligible for this exam.

Qualification •Candidates must pass the 10+2 exam from a recognized board or university with the required subjects. •Aspirants must have scored at least 50% marks in their last passed exam. •Candidates having any backlog in any paper in the 12th class are not eligible to apply. •For a 3-year LLB course, a candidate is eligible to apply if he/she is an employee of the Central Government and is staying within a radius of 30km from CUSAT – HIKKAKE CAMPUS.

AGE •A certain % of the total seats is reserved for candidates belonging to the SC/ST, economically deprived categories, and if from Kerala (Communal Reservation Quota) •Few seats for applicants of CUSAT CAT are reserved. •3% of the total seats for those candidates who are suffering from any disability are reserved (candidates with a minimum of 40% disability will only be considered except for Mechanical and Marine courses of Engineering)

The syllabus of CAT organized by CUSAT comprises the important contents from the exam point of view. It describes the chapters and topics of Math, Chemistry, and Physics. CUSAT CAT syllabus is based on the syllabus of Class 11 and 12. So, candidates must go through the complete syllabus who are planning to prepare for CUSAT CAT before drawing up any strategy. The authorities of CUSAT shall do not specifically release the syllabus for CAT 2021. Generally, questions of Physics, Chemistry, and Math are from the class 11 and 12 syllabi. Candidates should go through the whole syllabus while preparing for the CUSAT CAT exam. This helps them prepare well and perform accordingly in the CUSAT CAT exam.

CUSAT Admit Card Before the release of the 2021 exam date, candidates will get CUSAT Admit Card. Candidates have to download it online by using the login credentials. The Candidate will not receive the admit card through email/post/fax. Candidates need to download their admit card themselves and bring it to the exam centre to write CAT 2021 exam. Without a hall ticket, no candidate will get permission to enter the exam hall. The admit card is an important document for entry in the exam as well as in the counselling.


CUSAT Result CUSAT will release the result on the website after some weeks of the exam. Candidates who will participate in the 2021 exam will have the required credentials and will be able to check their results. The details required to access the result are the username and password that are provided to the candidates. CUSAT result carries various details like the name of the candidate, their roll number, marks obtained by them, rank secured, etc. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for further rounds to complete the admission procedure. How To Apply? STEP 1- Registration: Candidates applying to CAT 2021 should register themselves by providing their details such as their name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth. The email address of the candidate becomes the user name for further reference. To verify the email Id and mobile number, the candidate receives an OTP. The then-candidate needs to verify the same by clicking on the link/OTP received. STEP 2- Login: After the successful registration of the 2021 exam, candidates had to login into the portal by using the login credentials (username and password) and then had to fill in the application form. STEP 3- Filling the Application Form: Candidates applying for the exam have to fill in their personal as well as academic details. After successful login into the portal, the following details ought to be filled: •Personal details such as the name, contact number, age, date of birth, gender, nationality, category, parents details, hostel accommodation (if required), local address and permanent address, •Academic details, •Course to study, •Exam Center, •Other necessary documents in PDF form. Step 4- Preview: After successfully filing the course and other details, a preview option will be available. The candidate should preview the form and check the preview carefully.
