Introduction Generally, Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is popularly known as HPTET, consequently, HPTET is conducted by HPBSE to select the candidates for the recruitment of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT/ Punjabi/ Urdu Subjects. And also, HPBSE is responsible for all the HPTET exam processes, like, releasing notification, conducting the examination, declaring results, producing a cut-off list, etc. So, aspirants should get updates from the official website. It is a state-level examination, however, conducted in both languages English and Hindi except for some languages papers. The recruitment of language teachers will be conducted in the respective language. The application for the examination will be available online, However, the mode of examination is offline. Once you got qualified in the examination you will be provided with the lifelong validity certificate, which you can use when you go for a job as a teacher across Himachal Pradesh. Moreover, the examination for the Arts/ Non-Medical/ Medical/ Shastri/ L.T/ JBT/ Punjabi/ Urdu Subjects has just been conducted in July. HPTET Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification: • Generally, Aspirants who want to clear the TGT Arts examination need to have passed class 12th examination with a minimum of 45% and a degree in B.A or B.Com with 50%. • Then, for the TGT (Non-Medical) examination aspirants need to have passed the 12th examination with a minimum of 50% and a degree in BSC and B.Ed or Bachelor degree (50%) in elementary education. • Consequently for the Shastri Examination candidates need a degree in Shastri with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university by the Himachal Pradesh Government. • Then for the TGT Medical Examination aspirants should have passed the 12th exam with a minimum of 50% and a degree in B.Sc.(medical) or B.Ed. Or Bachelor’s degree with 50% in elementary education. • In order to become the language, teacher Candidates should have a degree in Hindi or currently appear in the final year of a 2-year diploma course. • Then if you want to become a junior Basic Training you should pass 12th with a minimum of 50% and a degree in the diploma (2 years) or Bachelor degree with 50% in elementary education. • Consequently for Punjabi Language Teacher Candidates should have a degree in Punjabi or currently appear in the final year of 2 years diploma courses. • Finally, for the Urdu Language Teacher candidates must need a degree in Urdu or presently doing the final year of their diploma course for 2 years.


HPTET Eligibility Criteria Age limitation: There is no upper HPTET Examination however the lower age limit is a minimum of 18 years. Hence, candidates who are 18 years old with the above educational qualifications can apply for the HPTET examination without any age limit. So, candidates need not worry about their upper age when applying for the HPTET examination. Nationality: Generally, HPTET candidates should be a citizen of India and also the aspirants who belong to Himachal Pradesh must submit their domicile certificate.

HPTET Exam Pattern Generally, HPTET 2021 Exam Pattern varies from one subject to another. Before moving to the subject-wise pattern, aspirants must know the overall exam pattern that remains common for all the subjects.
