Introduction • Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) is a constitutional body. The government of India established JKPSC under articles 128 and 133. The primary purpose of JKPSC is to conduct civil service exams to recruit candidates for the different government posts in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. • It is an autonomous body. Hence, it selects the candidates based on a merit list and reservations rights. JKPSC aims to choose the most capable and worthy candidates for operating the civil services and posts. Moreover, candidates should perform other functions assigned to the Commission by the mandate of the Constitution. • The state-level governing body exercises utmost impartiality, objectivity, and efficiency in accomplishing its tasks. In addition, it works in a time-bound manner and transparently, using technological innovations wherever feasible.


JKPSC Exam Eligibility Criteria • Educational Qualification • Must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university in India or a foreign university declared by the Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to a recognized university degree. • Say if you have appeared for your Bachelor’s Degree examination in 2021. Then, you must provide proof that you had fully appeared for the said examination on or before the last date of filling the JKPSC Application form 2021 for the Prelims. In addition, you should have also passed your Graduation when filling up the JKPSC Mains Application form. • Candidates must check eligibility criteria before they apply. JKPSC will not consider any ineligible candidate. Moreover, the authority has the right to cancel the candidature if found ineligible at any time of the recruitment process. • Therefore, candidates must make sure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria. JKPSC Exam Syllabus • The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers – Paper I and Paper-II. Both these papers will have multiple-choice questions. The maximum marks will be 400 – 200 marks for each paper. Detailed information about different topics for both these exams is in the following section: • Paper I • Current events of National and International importance. • History of India, and Indian National Movement. • Indian and World Geography. • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, etc. • Sustainable Development, Poverty, Social Sector Initiatives, etc. • General issues on Environmental ecology. • General Science. • Note: JKPSC may also ask questions related to the state of Jammu & Kashmir in this paper.

JKPSC Exam Admit Card • The JKPSC Prelim exam is going to be held on 24 October 2021. Thus, the admit card will be released in the second week of October 2021. • Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of JKPSC. All the details of the Prelim exam will be present on their admit card. • Admit card is an essential document. Without it, the candidate will not be able to sit for the exam. Furthermore, no correction will be allowed once the admit card is issued. Therefore, candidates must check all the details in the application form. Doing so will help them in avoiding any mistakes on their admit card.


JKPSC Exam Result • The JKPSC exam consists of three levels – Prelims, Mains, and Interview. After the prelims result, all the selected candidates will become eligible for the mains exam. Similarly, after the mains result, JKPSC releases the merit list of all the qualifying candidates. Hence, only the shortlisted candidate will be called for the interview round. • The interview round is the last stage in the JKPSC recruitment. Thus, as this round is completed, the JKPSC will announce the final list of selected candidates on their official website. • JKPSC prepares the merit list of all the qualifying candidates. After this, all the selected candidates are posted at different positions in Jammu and Kashmir. After that, the commission will decide on the allotment of services and do it as soon as possible once the result gets announced.


How to Check the JKPSC Exam Result? • JKPSC will release the result within a month of the exam. Hence, the candidates can follow these steps to check JKPSC result 2021: • • • • • • • • •

First, go to the official website of JKPSC. Then, click on the notifications tab. Now, click on the “JKPSC Result 2021” Link. Here, enter your examination roll number as on your admit card. Next, fill in all the other details asked on the result page. Then, click on submit. Then, the result page will appear. Now, check all the details and download the result. Finally, take a printout for future purposes.

Step 1: Registration First, go to the official website of JKPSC – http://jkpsc.nic.in/ Click on the One-time Registration button. Then sign-up by entering personal information, contact information & educational qualification and service details, etc. • After that, upload your passport size photo along with your signature. • After the completion, submit the form. • STEP 2: Filling out the Application form • After you register, you will be able to see the apply tab. Follow these steps to fill out the application form. • Click on the “show jobs” and choose the post/examination you want to apply for. • Then, select the month of the advertisement notification you want to apply. • As you click on the apply button, an instruction page will appear. • Now, read the instruction carefully and then move forward. • After this, candidates will see all the details they have filled in during the registration process. • Thus, candidates can check all the details carefully. Correct it if you find any errors. • Then, submit the application form. • Afterward, candidates will be redirected to the online payment page. • Submission of the application fee is the final step in the application process. • You can pay the application fee via Debit card, Credit card, or Internet Banking.
